As part of our continued product development and regional growth, we are seeking a hands-on Senior Software Engineer with strong experience in backend development, database design, systems integration, and practical software architecture.

The Role

The Senior Software Engineer will design and develop reliable backend services, database structures, and integrations across FIS's enterprise software portfolio.
The role requires practical architectural thinking combined with direct involvement in implementation, troubleshooting, technical reviews and continuous system improvement.

Database design and systems integration are central to this position. The successful candidate will work with development, implementation, quality assurance, and product teams to translate complex requirements into maintainable technical solutions and dependable data flows between systems.

This is a hands-on engineering role rather than a management-only or enterprise-architecture position.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop secure, maintainable and scalable backend services using C# and .NET.
Contribute to application and solution architecture, including component boundaries, integration approaches, data flows and technical design decisions.
Design relational data models, database schemas, constraints, indexes and stored database logic.
Analyze and improve SQL queries, database performance, transaction handling, and data integrity.
Design and implement integrations using REST APIs, SOAP web services, JSON, XML, and other relevant standards.
Handle data mapping, validation, migration, synchronization, error handling, logging and audit requirements across integrated systems.
Analyze existing applications and databases, identify technical risks or bottlenecks, and recommend practical improvements.
Review code and technical designs and provide practical guidance to other developers.
Investigate production issues involving backend services, databases, interfaces and data consistency.
Collaborate with internal teams to estimate, plan, document, test and deliver technical solutions.
متطلبات الوظيفة:
Required Qualifications and Experience

5+ years of hands-on experience in backend software development, database engineering, and systems integration.
Strong practical experience with C#, .NET, and .NET Core.
Strong knowledge of software architecture principles, object-oriented design, design patterns, SOLID principles, and maintainable modular design.
Strong experience in relational database design, data modeling, SQL, query optimization, indexing, execution plans, transactions, and performance tuning.
Hands-on experience with Oracle Database and/or PostgreSQL. Experience with both will be considered an advantage.
Practical experience designing and implementing APIs and integrations between business systems.
Good understanding of integration security, authentication, authorization, validation, logging, auditing, and reliable error handling.
Ability to understand complex systems and data structures and convert business and technical requirements into practical designs.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
Good written and spoken English, including the ability to read technical documentation and prepare clear technical notes.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Experience

Experience in one or more of the following areas will be considered an advantage:

Message queues, background processing, scheduled services, or asynchronous integration patterns.
High-volume transactional systems, performance optimization, and production troubleshooting.
Azure DevOps, Git-based workflows, automated builds, testing, and CI/CD practices.
