SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL (SI) is an international humanitarian NGO which, for more than 40 years, has been providing assistance to populations affected by armed conflicts and natural disasters by meeting their vital needs for food, water and shelter. Particularly involved in the fight against diseases linked to unsafe water, the first cause of death in the world, SI's interventions provide expertise in the field of access to drinking water, sanitation and hygiene promotion, but also in the essential area of food security and livelihoods. Present in around twenty countries, SI's teams - 2000 people in total made up of expatriates, national staff, permanent staff at headquarters, and a few volunteers - work with professionalism and commitment while respecting cultures.

About the position
Job title: : Deputy Logistics Coordinator
Post location: East Jerusalem
Starting date: 1st April 2026
Contract duration: 9 months renewable according to funding
INTERNAL COORDINATION
Supports the Logistics Coordinator in defining and sizing the mission's logistics strategy, needs and solutions, and in implementing them.
Supports and assists the Logistics Coordinator in updating his.her annual activity and project planning (budgets, action plans, procurement plans etc.).
Supports efforts to optimize the mission's logistical resources and means of work.
Supports and assists the Logistics Coordinator in preparing and validating logistics bill of quantities (BoQ), appendices and narratives for final and interim donor reports.
EXTERNAL COORDINATION
Represents SI and actively participates in existing inter-actor logistics coordination meetings (logistics clusters, other...). Provides minutes reports from the meetings to relevant SI colleagues.
Advocates logistical constraints in inter-actor networks.
SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT AND STRATEGY
Supports the Logistics Coordinator in defining the supply strategy for the mission and projects, in close collaboration with the program teams, based on activity schedules, updated BoQs, and in line with the global "supply" strategy and contextual challenges and constraints.
Supports and assists the Logistics Coordinator in analyzing the purchasing environment at national, regional and local levels, in close collaboration with logistics and program collaborators.
Supports the Logistics Coordinator in preparing and validating procurement tables (when applicable), purchasing schedules for the mission projects, and procurement files, ensuring compliance with the organization's applicable thresholds and procedures.
When necessary, collaborates with the Import Manager in the capitalization of regulations related to transport (domestic and international) on the mission, and related customs rules.
STOCK MANAGEMENT
Consolidates and analyzes monthly stock inventories submitted by field bases in collaboration with the Logistics Coordinator
Ensures compliance with Solidarites International storage procedures.
Make reallocation suggestions for remaining materials once a program is completed.
MANAGEMENT AND STRATEGY - TECHNICAL EQUIPMENT AND TRANSPORTATION
Supports the Logistics Coordinator in organizing and preparing rotations : international arrivals and departures, plus fields rotations, taking into account logistical, safety and contextual issues related to the context. .
Assists the Logistics Coordinator in defining an optimized technical policy and follow-up for the mission for all technical families (vehicle, energy, telecoms, IT, etc.).
Keeps updated and provides technical support in internal equipment monitoring tools, in accordance with SI internal procedures. Participates in the monthly update of the mission park statement, creates new equipment and shares the QR codes related.
Ensures that the computer equipment is well maintained and used correctly.
In collaboration with the Logistics Coordinator, offers technical assistance to the teams.
PREMISES MANAGEMENT
Assists the Logistics Coordinator in monitoring ongoing rental contracts for SI premises, and drafting new contract when necessary, in accordance with SI internal procedures.
Assists the Logistics Coordinator in setting up and maintaining functional office and accommodation spaces, ensuring adequate working and living conditions and the availability of all necessary equipment.
SECURITY MANAGEMENT
Supports the Logistics Coordinator in defining a framework for the use of technical equipment and ensures that teams are trained in safety-related technical means.
Ensures the operationalization of logistical resources for crisis management.
Ensures that defined IT security procedures are known and applied on the mission.
When required by the Logistics Coordinator, contributes to the identification of risks and vulnerabilities and to the implementation of risk mitigation measures (technical solutions, SOPs, etc.), and shares security-related information arising from its activities.
Contributes to security assessments of routes, environment and infrastructure available in new areas of operation.
Contributes to updating safety-related documents on logistical aspects.
MANAGEMENT
Ensures the proper implementation of HR policies and processes for the team member under his.her responsibility.
Analyzes, quantifies and qualifies the human resources needs of his/her team and reports to the Logistics Coordinator in case of needs.
Recruits and ensures the integration of the team under his.her responsibility.
Evaluates the performance of his.her team members.
Trains and supports his.her team members.
Leads and maintain effective communication with team members.
REPORTING
Supports the Logistics Coordinator in guaranteeing the quality of monthly monitoring data for the mission
Assists the Logistics Coordinator in consolidating and analyzing the monthly Logistics Pack from the bases.
Draws up and analyzes monthly logistics indicators for the mission, in relation to the Logistics Coordinator.
Supports the capitalization of logistics information at mission level.
INTERNAL CONTROL
Responsible for the conformity of the documents he/she produces.
FOLLOW-UP OF RECOMMENDATIONS
Responsible for implementing recommendations within their area of responsibility.
FILING & ARCHIVING
Responsible for filing and archiving documents produced in accordance with internal procedures
FIGHT AGAINST ABUSE
Creates and actively contributes to a work environment that prevents inappropriate behavior.
Participates in communicating with the existence of SI's ethical framework.
Respects at all times the protection of information exchanged in the context of a report and its processing.
Implements measures to mitigate the risk of abuse.

Experience: 3 to 4 years' experience in this technical field, preferably in the humanitarian field.
Languages: English professional working, fluent in Arabic
Skills:
Technical competencies in IT and supply chain
Good oral and written communication skills in English
Genuine commitment to the principles and work of SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL.
Previous experience with an international or local organization operating Palestine
Ability to work autonomously and under stress.
Good reactivity and reporting skills.
Good knowledge of Office pack – Word, Power Point and Excel
Strong adherence to procedures and rules
