Art to Heart (A2H) is a Palestinian nonprofit organisation based in Nablus that uses arts-based approaches toempower persons with disabilities and their families. Founded in 2019, A2H works at the intersection ofcreativity, disability inclusion, and community development — running programmes in artistic education,psychosocial support, economic empowerment, and disability rights advocacy. The organisation collaborateswith a range of local and international partners and operates with a strong commitment to dignity-centred,community-led practice.
ROLE OVERVIEW
This is a multi-faceted role at the heart of A2H's external presence and internal accountability systems. The Officer will lead the organization’s marketing and communications work - from social media and contentcreation to visual identity management - while co-leading disability rights advocacy campaigns and overseeing
A2H's Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) function. The role requires someone who can move comfortably between creative storytelling and structured data collection, between public-facing campaigns and internal reporting cycles.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Marketing and Communications (MarComs)
– Manage and grow A2H's social media channels, maintaining a consistent, authentic voice that reflects the organization’s values and community.
– Plan and produce digital and physical promotional materials for A2H's programmes, services, and income-generating activities.
– Write compelling, purpose-driven content and promotional materials — including posts, newsletters, products’ content, website, online store blogs, and success stories— across Arabic and English.– Manage and safeguard A2H's visual identity, ensuring consistency across all internal and external communications and processes.
– Represent A2H at relevant events, networking opportunities, and partner meetings.
– Coordinate internal communications and marketing tasks across the team to maintain coherent and timely messaging.
2. Advocacy
– Co-lead awareness-raising and advocacy campaigns on disability rights and inclusion — both digital and in-person — in coordination with the team.
– Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, and communications networks relevant to A2H's advocacy priorities.
– Produce advocacy strategy and policies, materials, position papers, and campaign content that centre the voices and experiences of persons with disabilities.
3. Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL)
– Manage and simplement A2H's MEAL Policy, ensuring it is applied consistently across all programmes and projects.
– Plan and conduct research, needs assessments, data analysis, beneficiary feedback sessions, and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs).
– Coordinate roles and responsibilities within the team in relation to monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning processes.
– Compile and contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual planning documents and donor reports, ensuring KPIs and data are accurately sourced, analyzed, and properly attributed.
– Identify and document lessons learned, and support the organization in applying these to improve programme quality.
4. Outreach and Other Duties
– Participate in field and outreach activities related to A2H's projects and programmes.
– Support income-generating activities through targeted promotional content.
– Carry out any other duties as reasonably requested by management.
متطلبات الوظيفة:Qualifications and Experience
– Bachelor's degree in Marketing and Communications, Media, Management and Information Studies/Systems (MIS), or a related field.
– Minimum 3 years of proven, hands-on experience in marketing, communications, advocacy or a closely related role.
– Demonstrated experience in content creation and social media management — a portfolio or examples of prior work are an asset.
– Experience with MEAL systems, data collection, and reporting in an NGO context is a strong advantage.
– Familiarity with disability rights, inclusion frameworks, and the Palestinian civil society context is preferred.
Skills and Competencies
– Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English.
– Proficiency in social media platforms, graphic design basic tools (e.g. Canva, Adobe), and digital
content production.
– Solid organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously without losing
attention to detail.
– A genuine creative sensibility — someone who takes initiative, brings ideas, and is willing to experiment.– A collaborative team player who communicates openly, coordinates proactively, and supports
colleagues across functions.
– Commitment to A2H's values of dignity, disability inclusion, equity and community-led practice.
Other Requirements
– Must be based in Nablus.
– Flexibility and ability to work outside official working hours upon need.
