I. Background on ACTED
ACTED is an international NGO registered in France. ACTED’s vocation is to support vulnerable populations affected by wars, natural disasters and/or economic and social crises, and to accompany them in building a better future. ACTED started its activities in the occupied Palestinian territory (oPt) in May 2007. ACTED is currently implementing projects covering multiple humanitarian / development sectors, funded by of a variety of international donors, which aim at protecting vulnerable households and strengthening civil society actors across the oPt. ACTED oPt offers a dynamic, rigorous and knowledge-orientated working environment.
In the occupied Palestinian territory, ACTED is both committed to humanitarian assistance and long-term development. ACTED strives to strengthen the economic capacities of communities, consolidate civil society organisations, and provide emergency assistance to the most vulnerable, rural communities in the West Bank, East Jerusalem and Gaza.

II. Position Profile
Technical Support
Conduct field technical assessments to assure the standard quality of materials to be provided (specifications and installation).
Supervise construction works and check quality of material assistance delivered according to the design, and the quality of the installed materials meets the desired standards.
Field Work and emergency implementation
Conduct field visits following demolition incidents eligible for assessment and complete the demolition assessment (which includes a risk analysis) or other needs assessment that might be required.
Conduct rapid field visits and needs assessment following any FLR activation.
Verify consistency between Acted and OCHA or any other source of the trigger.
Propose appropriate response options to the Senior Technical Project Officer and the Project Manager following Acted’s demolition handbook.
Maintain clear communication with beneficiaries and the Project Team following the assessment and inform in case a rapid coordinated response is needed.
Keep in touch with the beneficiaries after the emergency response and update the Senior Technical Project Officer and the Program Manager of any urgent matters.
Coordinate with all other relevant departments (logistics, security, finance), in case a rapid response is required.
Ensure communication with consortium partners during weekend shifts or when urgent triggers occur, providing timely updates and supporting coordinated decision-making.
Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and compliance with specifications.
Support warehouse tasks when needed (Stock in, Stock out, quantities periodic Check).
Weekend and out-of-hours emergency coverage
Serve as an alternative focal point for weekend shifts when needed, ensuring Acted can respond immediately to triggers in East Jerusalem.
Receive, verify and escalate alerts from OCHA, partners or other sources.
Coordinate with the Consortium and Acted management for go/no go decisions.
Ensure timely updates to the Consortium’s communication channels
Reporting and information management
Provide daily update to the Senior Technical Project Officer and the Project Manager.
Submit the required reporting to the Senior Technical Project Officer and the Project Manager after completing assigned duties.
Other duties
Perform any additional tasks assigned by the direct supervisor.
Maintain positive internal working relationships and contribute to a supportive team culture.
Ensure cordial relationship among partners.
Produce soft and hard copy organized filing for all forms or reports submitted, archived with proper naming and avoiding duplications.
Update the Information Management Officer and the line manager if relevant on any information that should be added to the tracker/database/ management tools.
متطلبات الوظيفة:IV. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in any relevant field. A Civil Engineering degree is preferred.
Minimum 3 years experience in relevant field with good skills to implement and manage quality control on different programs.
Very good knowledge of West Bank villages and ability of movement in the field.
Able to commit to flexible working hours and willing to travel whenever necessary.
Ability to work in a team, under pressure, ability to take initiative, make decisions, monitor and evaluate. Capable in planning and problem solving.
Ability to handle multiple assignments & meet deadlines with willingness to travel to the field independently
Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint…. Etc)
Ability to write reports in both Arabic and English.
Jerusalem ID holder
Has a valid driving Lisence
