Anera, which has no political or religious affiliation, works on the ground with partners in Palestine (West Bank and Gaza), Lebanon, and Jordan. We mobilize resources for immediate emergency relief and for sustainable, long-term health, education, and economic development. Our staff serve in their communities, navigating the politics that constrict progress to get help where it’s needed most.

That’s how Anera received more than $171 million in support of programs in 2023 alone, and it’s how we will keep building better lives until hope finds its way in the Middle East.

Job Overview/Summary:

It is a three-year food security project entitled "Strengthening the Resilience of Local Population and Structures in Palestine." This initiative is designed to be implemented across the central and northern regions of the West Bank.

The project's core activities will focus on the installation of home gardens and the delivery of comprehensive technical training. These training sessions will cover essential agricultural techniques and effective climate change mitigation practices to support long-term sustainability for the local population.

One of Anera’s sectors we work on is the agricultural development projects. Interventions are focused on home gardens, rooftop gardens, restoration of farming activities, rehabilitation of water facilities, circular economy, and reuse of reclaimed wastewater.

Job Responsibilities:

Coordinate training:  the project includes a large number of training sessions on income generation, small businesses, climate change, and smart agriculture. The incumbent is expected to coordinate training activities along the training cycle and deliver business training.
Conduct training needs assessments to design training packages in coordination with subject matter specialist.
Beneficiary Selection: Work with the project team to fill in baseline data collected during the beneficiary selection process and help with analysis.
Undertake, coordinate, and facilitate field visits to project sites and activities for follow-up purposes
Prepare and manage project documentation, including tenders, MoUs, documents, field work reports, beneficiary applications, grant agreements, and addendums required for project implementation.
Coordinate and oversee training activities, including the selection of trainers, inviting trainees, and keeping records.
Monitor and evaluate project progress, work with MEAL team and field coordinators to collect data, means of verification, and data analysis, and prepare progress reports
Compile and submit reports on project activities, achievements, challenges, and lessons learned in a timely manner.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in economics, business administration, or related fields. 
At least five years of proven experience in implementing projects in Palestine.
Fluency in Arabic and English, both spoken and written.
Demonstrated program management skills, including strategic planning, needs assessment, report writing, and monitoring & evaluation.
Flexibility to travel throughout the West Bank and Gaza.
Strong ability to work under pressure and commitment to operate in challenging environments.
Good communication skills, team leadership, and coordination competencies. 
Experience and Skills:

Experience working with international NGOs or donor-funded agricultural programs.
Advanced knowledge of participatory approaches and community-based methodologies.
Data Entry and analysis 
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective partnerships with diverse stakeholders.
Capacity to manage stress while maintaining professionalism and high performance.
