Dotted-Line Reporting To: General Manager (commercial strategy, pricing, targets)
Works With: Engineering, Procurement & Logistics, PMO, Project Managers, Finance, Warehouse, O&M
ROLE PURPOSE
To generate EPC project sales, direct commercial sales, and component sales (modules, inverters, BOS parts), while preparing accurate technical–commercial proposals and supporting tender submissions.
The Sales Engineer works under the Operations Manager for all daily tendering, technical coordination, and pricing inputs, and also reports in a dotted line to the General Manager for sales strategy, revenue targets, pricing approval, and business development.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Direct EPC Sales & Business Development
Identify and pursue new EPC sales opportunities in commercial, industrial, residential, NGO, and institutional sectors.
Conduct site visits, technical assessments, and client meetings.
Build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities.
Develop feasibility assessments and preliminary designs.
Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets assigned by the General Manager.
Tendering & Proposal Development
Prepare complete technical–commercial proposals, including:
Preliminary layouts and system sizing
Energy yield estimates
BOQs and specifications
Execution timelines
Commercial pricing
Ensure compliance with tender requirements and deadlines.
Coordinate technical inputs daily with the Operations Manager.
Work with PMO for documentation, compliance forms, company profile, and reference sheets.
Component Sales (Modules, Inverters, BOS)
Generate sales for stocked items: PV modules, inverters, batteries, breakers, cables, connectors, and other components.
Build relationships with installers, contractors, and resellers.
Prepare quotations and confirm availability with Procurement and Warehouse.
Support clients with technical questions on component selection.
Meet component sales revenue and margin targets.
Pricing & Margin Management
Coordinate with Procurement for updated supplier pricing and delivery timelines.
Obtain technical assumptions from Engineering.
Get execution inputs and labor assumptions from Operations.
Prepare cost sheets and recommended pricing.
Ensure minimum margin thresholds are met.
Get final pricing approval from the General Manager for all EPC and component sales.
Client Communication & Technical Support
Act as the primary contact for clients during the sales cycle.
Provide technical clarifications and respond to RFIs.
Join client meetings, presentations, and commercial discussions with GM or Operations Manager.
Offer after-sales support for component buyers (non-EPC).
Documentation & Compliance
Work with PMO to assemble tender documents, technical submittals, data sheets, and compliance forms.
Maintain organized tender folders and standardized proposal templates.
Ensure all proposals meet company quality standards.
Internal Coordination
Daily technical and pricing coordination with the Operations Manager.
Technical support from Engineering for system sizing and design assumptions.
Pricing and availability checks with Procurement & Logistics.
Scheduling and documentation coordination with PMO.
Delivery arrangements with Warehouse and Logistics.
Invoice and payment coordination with Finance.
Handover Responsibilities
For EPC Projects:
Prepare a complete handover package for PMO, including:
Final proposal
Scope of work
Pricing breakdown
Client correspondence
Approved assumptions and exclusions
Attend internal project kickoff with Operations.
For Component Sales:
Submit client PO, quotation, and delivery instructions to Finance and Logistics.
Market Intelligence
Track market prices for solar modules, inverters, and BOS components.
Monitor competitor pricing and offerings.
Recommend strategy adjustments to the General Manager.
Identify new segments, partners, and high-volume buyers.
متطلبات الوظيفة:REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or related field
Experience in solar EPC sales or component sales (minimum 2 years)
Strong PV design understanding (DC/AC design, sizing, equipment selection)
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Ability to manage EPC tenders and direct sales in parallel
Proficiency with PVsyst, AutoCAD, Excel, and CRM tools
Highly organized and capable of working under deadlines

EPC Sales KPIs:
EPC revenue sold (monthly/quarterly)
Tender win rate (%)
Proposal accuracy vs actual execution cost
Gross margin on sold EPC projects
Component Sales KPIs:
Monthly revenue from module/inverter sales
Number of active installer/contractor clients
Inventory turnover rate
Margin performance and reduction of old stock
General KPIs:
Lead-to-closing conversion rate
Timeliness and quality of proposals
Client satisfaction in sales stage
Quality and completeness of handover packages
