Recruitment Coordinator and Group Leader-Horizons Academy

Background:
Horizons Academy, a program under Al Nayzak Organization, provides inquiry-based, constructivist, and learner-centered education programs. Following Al Nayzak’s educational philosophy, all instructors are expected to foster active learning, critical thinking, and real-world engagement using the 5E Instructional Model.

Fully responsible for:
1.Student guidance and support:

Offering guidance to freshman and sophomore students at Horizons Academy.
Working with students to define their goals and gain insight about their chosen future major/career.
Creating a yearly personal plan with every participant to keep them on the right track.
Completing a quarterly progress report for each student.
Working with Horizons’ management to ensure GL’s adherence to structure and proposed annual plans.
Meeting and follow up with students and parents three times a year for a one on one meeting.
Meeting and follow up with students once a month in a group setting.
Tracking students performance and commitment and issue warnings/suspensions as per Horizons Academy suspension policy.
Assisting students in applying for international opportunities such as internships, boarding school or any other opportunity deemed important for their educational journey.
Providing daily availability to address and respond to student inquiries in a timely and supportive manner.
Identifying and support gifted students.
Establishing connections with schools all around Palestine, community centers and the ministry to spread the word about Horizons and find the best students in Palestine to join Horizons Academy.
Responsible for achieving the recruitment targets set by the management.
Developing sustainable strategies to maintain and establish connections with public and private Palestinian universities.
Leading the ambassadorship program at Horizons Academy.
Supporting Horizons team in planning and executing events such as the grand opening ceremony and the summer school.
2. Teaching:

Delivering workshops to Horizons students as needed.
Teaching Horizons Academy scholars during the annual Summer School
Teaching assigned courses to the appropriate grade levels as needed throughout the academic year.
Teaching and enhancing the group leading content.
3. Reporting:

Completing a quarterly progress report for each student.
Competing transcripts for each student three times a year.
Working with Horizons’ Deputy manager to ensure Group Leader’s adherence to structure and proposed annual plans.
4.Recruitment goals:

Conducting field visits to schools and community centers to promote Horizons Academy.
Having a full understanding of the various domestic high school education systems.
Supervising recruitment coordinator to ensure all students interviews are completed in a timely manner.
Ensuring Horizons Academy reached recruitment goals for each Academic year.
Having full understanding of Horizons recruitment process and long term vision.
Preparing quarterly reports reflecting the progress of the recruitment in regards to the set targets.
5.Community engagement:

Building and maintaining good relationships with the community and local institutions.

Skills & qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Public Relations, Communication, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
At least 3–5 years of experience in recruitment, community engagement, or outreach programs.
Proven experience working with schools, universities, and community organizations, along with the ability to effectively engage high school and undergraduate students, particularly in career guidance and personal development.
Strong ability to develop and implement effective recruitment strategies.
Experience conducting field visits and organizing outreach campaigns.
Familiarity with domestic high school education systems in Palestine.
Expertise in academic and career counseling, helping students define goals and create personalized plans.
Ability to track student performance, manage records, and address performance concerns in alignment with institutional policies.
Experience assisting students with applications for international opportunities such as internships or boarding schools.
Sensitivity and skill in identifying and supporting gifted students.
Experience supervising and coordinating the work of team members.
Proven ability to achieve set recruitment targets and provide timely updates to management.
Experience delivering workshops and teaching courses to diverse student groups.
Proven ability to create engaging and effective educational content for summer programs and regular academic courses.
Strong classroom management and group facilitation skills.
Proficiency in maintaining accurate and up-to-date student records, including progress reports, transcripts, and performance tracking.
Strong organizational skills to ensure adherence to annual plans and institutional structure.
Ability to collaborate with management to monitor and improve program effectiveness.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in Arabic and English.
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with schools, universities, community centers, and local institutions.
Strong ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues through regular meetings and ongoing support.
Proactive approach to addressing student inquiries and fostering a supportive learning environment.
Ability to evaluate student progress and implement timely interventions to address challenges.
Experience in issuing warnings or enforcing suspensions in accordance with organizational policies.
Ability to develop sustainable strategies for partnerships and long-term recruitment goals.
Strong problem-solving skills to address recruitment challenges and improve processes.
Exceptional planning and organizational abilities to manage events, field visits, and the recruitment process efficiently.
Experience preparing detailed progress reports and presenting insights to management.
Proven ability to plan and execute events, such as ceremonies, summer schools, and other initiatives.
Deep understanding of Palestinian community dynamics and institutions.
Experience fostering trust and collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM tools.
Familiarity with data collection and reporting systems for recruitment processes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and student tracking systems.
Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and educational tools is a plus.
