Médecins Sans Frontières is a private, non-profit international humanitarian organization dedicated to providing medical assistance to populations in crisis, without discrimination and regardless of race, religion, creed or political affiliation.

MSFF is looking for its project in Nablus:  Yellow Plate Driver

Workplace : Main Office is in Nablus with movements around northern Cities of West Bank mainly Qalqiliya and Tubas in addition to movements to Jerusalem.

Type of contract           : Fixed Term, renewable

متطلبات الوظيفة:
Main purpose of the position

Performing the tasks of transporting authorized goods and passengers in an MSF vehicle, ensuring its

technical and safety conditions and respecting the country's traffic rules and MSF security rules, to provide a safe, smooth and efficient service

Responsibilities
Checking daily, the technical conditions of the assigned vehicle and performing weekly check according to the MSF Logbook.
Perform refueling as necessary or when scheduled.
Keeping MSF cars clean, ensuring they can be driven in clean and respectable condition.
Carrying out a handover if another uses the vehicle.
Ensuring the security of passengers in the vehicle, driving carefully, observing speed limits and traffic rules as well as MSF security rules.
Ensuring all passengers have all the necessary papers in order before travelling and ensuring non-MSF staff sign disclaimers of responsibility before travelling in the vehicle.
Performing correct loading and unloading of goods transported in the vehicle, submitting the documents to the receiver of the goods, checking the status of delivered goods, returning the duly completed documents to Logistics Department.
Ensuring that all vehicle documents and the driver's driving license are valid and in the vehicle.
Informing the line manager of any incident involving the transportation of passengers and/or goods.
Knowing how to operate the provided communication devices (phone, radio, etc). Understanding any codes, call signs and phonetic alphabet and communicating with base according to MSF communications policy to inform the driver's position, movement status or security concern.
Knowing and respecting the security rules related to vehicle movements, specifically those related to customs, checkpoints and roadblocks.
Ensuring all passengers know and respect the security rules.
Requirements

Education: Essential literacy.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years work experience in a similar role, desirable previous experience with MSF or other NGO’s, good knowledge of West Bank and Jerusalem roads.
Languages: English is essential, Hebrew is added value.
Others:
- Holder of Jerusalem ID is a must.
- A valid Israeli driver’s license is required with a good driving record.
- Knowledge of traffic laws and regulations in both West Bank and Jerusalem is required.
- The main operations center is in the city of Nablus. The driver begins his daily work from Nablus to the working areas mentioned above.

- يقع مركز العمليات الرئيسي في مدينة نابلس. يبدأ السائق عمله اليومي من مدينة نابلس إلى مناطق العمل المذكورة أعلاه.
