Gaza Sky Geeks, established in 2011 by Mercy Corps with support from Google, is Palestine’s leading tech hub that trains, nurtures, and supports emerging tech talent with the goal of creating a sustainable and inclusive digital job market in Palestine.

GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:
Gaza Sky Geeks (GSG) is looking for a motivated and experienced Employability Advisor to join our team for a short-term engagement. The consultant will work closely with our Employability Unit and Individuals Unit to support GSG graduates in securing job opportunities both locally and internationally.
At GSG, the Individuals Unit focuses on equipping university students and recent graduates with in-demand skills that enhance their employability. We offer training in non-programming technical topics such as digital marketing, UI/UX design, product management, QA, and more, preparing young talent to access job opportunities in the Palestinian market, remote roles, or freelance work globally.

The Employability Advisor will play a key role in bridging the gap between training and employment by helping graduates translate their skills into real-world job opportunities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: For GSG Community Team Members (Graduate-Facing Tasks):

Work directly with recent GSG instructors to identify the top graduates from the trainings that are offered by the individual unit.
Support the development of a GSG talent pool composed of high-potential community members for future hiring opportunities.
In coordination with the GSG Program Coordinator, organize two group sessions during the period focused on essential soft skills, including.

CV and résumé writing and enhancement.
Interview preparation.
LinkedIn and professional profile optimization.
For GSG Programs (Employer-Facing & Internal Coordination):

Map potential employers and opportunities in both the local and international job markets, relevant to graduates’ skill sets
Engage with potential employers, recruiters, and hiring platforms to promote GSG graduates and secure placement opportunities.
Collaborate with the Employability and Individuals Units to align job placement efforts with ongoing training programs.
In Collaboration with GSG data team members, track employment outcomes and generate reports on key metrics related to job placements, including job types, sectors, and geographie

Qualifications
University degree in Business Administration or any related field
1-2 Proven experience in employability services, recruitment, HR, or career coaching.
Strong network of local and/or international employers and recruiters.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with the Palestinian job market and remote job opportunities is a plus.
Fluency in English.
