local leading company working in FMCG desires to hire a distinguished Purchasing officer:

Main Responsibilities:

-Establish, implement, monitor ongoing compliance with purchasing policies and procedures and best practices.
-Direct procurement policies to ensure all items are purchased and delivered within budget and time constraints.
-Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers and vendors
-Develop, negotiate and administer purchasing agreements and contracts with suppliers in support of organizational requirements.
-Troubleshoot cost, quality and delivery concerns.
-Manage risk relating to quality, cost, delivery and supply of purchases.
-Facilitate timely placement of purchase orders
-Review purchase orders for proper authorization and compliance with organizational policy and procedures
-Develop and manage purchasing Department, budgets and forecasts
-Produce regular reports on purchase commitments, costs and delivery performance
-Performance manage, develop and motivate purchasing staff
-Direct continuous improvement of purchasing processes in line with changing organizational needs and market conditions

Candidates must have the following qualifications

-University degree (minimum of first degree) in Business Administration, materials management, operations management, engineering or any other relevant field.
-working knowledge of all laws and regulations relating to procurement and contracts
-Supervisory experience.
-High competency level in MS Office applications
-Good computer skills, office applications, internet and e-mail.
-Ability to communicate in Hebrew, English.
-High communication skills and work team spirit.
-Ability to work for long hours and under pressure.
-Jerusalem ID holder.
-Valid driving license.
-Work experience would be considered as extra advantage.
