2. Position Summary
Juzoor is seeking a highly qualified Project Manager – Environment (PME) to lead and oversee the daily implementation of environmental interventions across its programs. The PME will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing environmental projects in line with Juzoor’s strategic objectives, organizational policies, and applicable environmental regulations.

The role requires a high level of independence, initiative, and flexibility, as well as the ability to work under pressure and coordinate with multiple stakeholders in complex operational environments.

3.   Key Responsibilities
This position is geared towards supporting the implementation under the GFFO project.
This position reflects the overall responsibility for project delivery, including decision-making authority and accountability.
The tasks under this project include budget management, including monitoring expenditures against activities.
This position also includes project representation responsibilities with stakeholders and donors.
This position includes risk management and team supervision responsibilities, and the involvement in project related procurements. 
 
3.1 Environmental Project Management
Lead and manage environmental projects from initiation through completion, ensuring delivery within approved timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Plan, execute, and monitor environmental initiatives in alignment with project objectives and donor requirements.
Define project scope, objectives, indicators, and implementation plans, and oversee quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation measures, ensuring timely corrective actions.
3.2 Environmental Compliance and Technical Oversight
Conduct environmental impact assessments, environmental risk analyses, and compliance reviews.
Ensure all project activities comply with applicable local and national environmental laws, regulations, and standards.
Develop and implement environmental management and mitigation plans.
Stay updated on emerging environmental issues, technologies, and best practices relevant to development and humanitarian contexts.
3.3 Coordination and Representation
Coordinate with government authorities, regulatory bodies, private sector entities, civil society organizations, and community representatives.
Lead multidisciplinary teams, including staff, consultants, and contractors.
Present project findings, progress updates, and recommendations to Juzoor management, partners, and relevant stakeholders.
3.4  Reporting and Documentation
Prepare high-quality technical, narrative, and periodic reports in line with Juzoor and donor requirements.
Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all environmental projects.

4. Working Code and Methodology
The PME is expected to:
Adhere at all times to Juzoor’s Code of Conduct, rules, and regulations.
Promote partnerships based on shared values, transparency, mutual respect, and accountability.
Maintain close engagement with target communities and grassroots organizations, ensuring responsiveness to community needs and expectations.
Comply with all Juzoor policies, including safeguarding, child protection, gender equality, anti-fraud, whistleblowing, and IT & Data Protection policies.

5. Required Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum five (5) years of professional experience in environmental project management.
Proven experience working in the Palestinian health, environment, or development context.
Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, compliance frameworks, and environmental assessment methodologies.
Demonstrated experience in community development and working with local communities, women’s groups, NGOs, and government institutions.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results under pressure.
Excellent written and spoken English.
Willingness and ability to travel within the West Bank and Gaza as required.

7. Working Hours
Working days: Monday to Thursday and Saturday
Working hours: 08:00 – 16:00, with flexibility coordinated with the supervisor
Official weekends: Friday and Sunday
