Job Opportunity – Project Officer | Right To Play
Location: Ramallah, Palestinian Territories

Salary: ILS 10,795/month (before taxes)
Job Type: Full-time, 1-year contract (renewable based on performance & funding)
Role Overview:
The Project Officer will oversee the EQIE 2.0 project (2025-2029), which aims to improve reading skills and psychosocial well-being of primary school children through play-based learning. This role includes project administration, partnership management, and capacity building for local organizations.
- Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Administration (35%)
- Develop and implement strategic and operational plans.
- Ensure compliance with Right To Play (RTP) methodologies & standards.
- Monitor project activities and submit monthly reports.
- Oversee budget projections, spending, and procurement of equipment.
- Organize community events and Play Days.
2. Partnership & Compliance Management (25%)
- Collaborate with CSO partners to set literacy & psychosocial support targets.
- Train partners on Play-Based Learning (PBL) and safeguarding policies.
- Ensure sub-grants comply with RTP financial & procurement guidelines.
- Conduct assessments & collaborations to align with EQIE 2.0 goals.
- 3. Team Management (15%)
- Supervise and evaluate direct reports and contract staff.
- Ensure adherence to RTP policies.
- Conduct staff training and capacity-building sessions.
- 4. Networking & Representation (10%)
- Maintain relationships with Ministry of Education, UNRWA, CSOs & NGOs.
- Represent RTP in education & humanitarian forums.
- Oversee implementation of MoUs & agreements with partners.
- 5. Monitoring & Reporting (10%)
- Conduct field visits to assess project progress.
- Ensure accurate data collection & reporting.
- Provide quarterly updates on best practices & lessons learned.
6. Other Duties (5%)
- Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, social sciences, or related fields.
- 5+ years of experience in project administration, community work, or NGO partnership management.
- Experience in Education Programs, Psychosocial Support (PSS), and Emergency Education (EiE).
- Strong organizational, leadership, and report-writing skills.
- Fluency in English & Arabic (written & spoken).
- Valid driver’s license & driving experience (required for site visits).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Play-Based Learning (PBL) & Education in Emergencies (EiE).
- Experience in budget management.
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is an asset.
