The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is an impartial, neutral, and independent organization whose exclusively humanitarian mission is to protect the lives and dignity of victims of war and internal violence and to provide them with assistance. It also endeavours to prevent suffering by promoting and strengthening humanitarian law and universal humanitarian principles.

The ICRC Delegation in Israel and the Occupied Territories (IL/OT), is recruiting a talented, energetic, and engaged candidate for the following position:

ICT Technical Specialist 2

Place of Employment:       Ramallah

Contract duration:             1 Year contract, renewable

Trial period:                         3 months

Occupation rate:                100%

Job Grade:                           B2

Starting Date:                     March 2025

The ICT Specialist 2 manages and organizes all ICT systems and services in the West Bank. The ICT Specialist assists the ICT Coordinator in designing and installing ICT infrastructure, either independently or under his supervision.

The ICT Specialist 2

Independently installs, maintains, repairs and monitors ICT equipment in line with ICRC standards.
Ensures ICT inventory is updated regularly and maintains adequate stocks levels.
Ensures existing ICT infrastructure is functional.
Negotiates contracts and facilities agreements with Palestinian Suppliers (PS) providers to optimize service/cost in consultation with ICT coordinator.
In charge of the (PS) cellular file, monitors the services/cost and acts as the ICRC focal point.
Anticipates and assesses the out of catalogue ICT needs, proposes solutions, and make sure they are in line with ICRC policies and the overall information system.
Ensures that global/country-level policies and procedures are implemented and followed.
Briefs, advise and trains end-users and peers on the ICRC's ICT systems.
Drafts and updates technical documentation for ICT equipment.
Conducts data analyses exercises upon need.
May be called upon to manage and train ICT teams.
Handles the tickets on the SNow platform according to the system polices and criteria.
Education & professional experience:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in IT, electronics, computer science or similar field.
Native Arabic
Very Good command of English. Hebrew language is an asset.
Professional certification in IT is an asset (i.e., Software engineering, network engineer, etc).
3–4 years' troubleshooting experience in an area of the ICT service catalogue (e.g. workplace services, telecommunications, IT, help desk, etc.).
one year of people-management experience a strong asset.
