The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is an impartial, neutral, and independent organization whose exclusively humanitarian mission is to protect the lives and dignity of victims of war and internal violence and to provide them with assistance. It also endeavors to prevent suffering by promoting and strengthening humanitarian law and universal humanitarian principles.

The ICRC Delegation in Israel and the Occupied Territories (IL/OT), is seeking for a qualified candidate to fill in the for the following position:

Pharmacist

Place of Employment              :     Jerusalem

Contract duration                    :     1 Year contract, renewable

Trial period                               :     3 months

Occupation rate                       :     100%

Job Grade                                :     B3

Starting Date                            :     As soon as possibl

Main Responsibilities:

​Under the Supervision of the Logistician Country Manager, the Pharmacist ensures the implementation of good storage and distribution practices within the Logistics Department and the related quality management system. The Pharmacist also makes sure that the delegation complies with national regulatory requirements and that activities related to domestic purchases of health-care products are carried out according to the relevant procedures.

The Pharmacist duties shall include,

Ensuring and monitoring the implementation of the quality management system for the delegation in compliance with the current relevant structure.
Ensuring that good distribution practices are implemented and that health-care products are handled properly.
Ensuring the implementation of global, field and site standard operating procedures and other documents related to good storage and distribution practices processes, including the writing and revision of such documents, training of staff, production of updates and filing.
Ensuring that the activities of the Logistics Department comply with national legal requirements, and is accountable for the importation, storage and distribution of narcotics and controlled drugs.
Supervises and provides technical support to the Quality Assurance Officer in implementing good storage and distribution practices and standard operating procedures related to warehouse activities.
Identifies potential domestic suppliers of pharmaceuticals or other health-care products and helps assess whether the suppliers comply thew relevant practices and legal requirements.
Acts as legal representative of the ICRC’s pharmaceutical services before the national drug regulatory authorities.
Files and archives any legal documentation.
متطلبات الوظيفة:
Education & professional experience:

University Degree in Pharmaceutical studies
Minimum 6 years’ experience working excellent knowledge of the relevant laws and regulations.
Good experience in people management
Very good computer skills.
Excellent command (spoken and written) of English and Hebrew.
Israeli board certification
Israeli Driving License
