Position Title: Partnerships and Outreach Officer

Location: Palestine

Reports to: Project Manager

Project Duration: 7 months, with the possibility of renewal

Start Date: ASAP

General: Lapis Group has recently won an award from Education Above All to design and launch Youm Jadeed, an education focused project for Palestine. Lapis Group is a recognized leader in media, communication, and education, with decades of experience in producing high-quality educational content and strategic communications. We are committed to fostering social impact through innovative and engaging educational solutions.

About the Project: Youm Jadeed (New Day) is an educational and psychosocial support initiative designed for Palestinian children aged 7-11. This project, funded by Education Above All, leverages radio, social media and other digital platforms to mitigate harm associated with the educational gap caused by ongoing conflict and provide psychosocial support and resources for children and caretakers. Over the coming 7 months the program aims to develop and broadcast 90 packages of educational content that include a radio program and supplementary audio-visual material for broadcast over FM and online streaming. This will be complemented by a robust multi-platform dissemination and community engagement strategy.

Position Overview: The Partnerships and External Relations Officer will play a crucial role in the Youm Jadeed educational and psychosocial support initiative. This individual will be responsible for promoting Youm Jadeed’s content and material to diverse stakeholders. This will include building working relationships with local and international partners, governmental stakeholders, NGOs, educational institutions, and community organizations with the aim of promoting the use of material developed by Youm Jadeed as well as ensuring enhanced synergy and alignment of Youm Jadeed content and material with the needs and on the ground activities of other organizations. These outreach efforts aim to maximize the project's impact and promote collaboration and pursuit of collective impact.

Key Responsibilities:

Partnership Development:

Identify, build, and maintain collaborative partnerships with local and international stakeholders, including governmental bodies, NGOs, educational institutions, and community organizations.
Facilitate partnerships that enhance the reach and impact of the project, ensuring alignment with the project’s objectives and goals.
Develop and implement outreach strategies to engage with key stakeholders and promote the project’s activities and resources.
Coordinate with partners to promote Youm Jadeed materials and disseminate related educational content and psychosocial support materials.
Represent the project in coordination meetings, forums, and events to foster collaboration and share project progress.
Work with local educators and community leaders to facilitate the use of project resources in schools and community centers.
Promotion and Communication:

Develop and execute communication plans to raise awareness about the project among stakeholders and the broader community.
Collaborate with the Social Media Manager to promote the project’s activities and resources through digital channels.
Prepare and disseminate promotional materials, press releases, and newsletters.
متطلبات الوظيفة:
Bachelor’s degree in international relations, communications, social sciences, or a related field.
Proven experience in partnership development, outreach, and community engagement, preferably in the education or humanitarian sectors.
Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
Fluency in English and Arabic is required.
