Position: Communication Specialties -English.

Location: Jordan / West Bank.

Number of Vacancies: 1

Reports to: Senior Director of Communication.

Job Overview:
The Communications Specialist, is responsible for creating high-quality internal and external communications content that advances the organization’s strategic direction. This involves informing, motivating, inspiring, and prompting action while adhering to best practices in line with the organization's brand image and values. The Specialist will be responsible for optimizing the use of various traditional and digital media platforms, including the website, social media channels, videos, podcasts, blogs, and other digital and print publications, at local, and international levels.

Responsibilities:

Provide creative input during the planning and conceptual stages of communications projects and in the creation of a content calendar.
Contribute ideas and take personal responsibility for the development and translation of quality communications content in line with the organization's brand image and values and in coordination with different departments.
Prepare content for different productions and activities, including media talking points, reports, website pages, press releases, video storyboards and scripts, podcasts, brochures, e-newsletters, presentations, blogs, speechs and social media posts and support inputs for events.
Collaborate with team members to facilitate internal revisions and feedback.
Ensure all produced content meets the organization's quality standards before final delivery.
Support establishing updated a communications resource hub, saving and sharing content within the Communications Department and across the entire organization.
Develop branding and writing standards, content toolkits, and training presentations for PCRF volunteers and partners.
Maintain an updated media and social media contact list and leverage traditional and new media networks to best achieve strategic objectives.
Build relationships and liaise with local and international media, influencers, ambassadors, donors, partners, volunteers, and team members to collect and publish stories, news, and testimonials, leveraging communications strengths and channels.
Develop and prepare media and social media plans for campaigns and reach analysis reports; monitor engagement, reach, and responses; and assess and amend the performance of online campaigns accordingly.
Coordinate with the Audiovisual Production Manager on the production of audiovisual content, including videos, podcasts, and photos.
Collaborate with the Graphic Designer to prepare visual content, including infographics, visual messages, campaign designs, and animations.
Manage workload and multiple priorities; source and prepare plans and timelines.
Follow procurement and financial management processes for the time- and cost-effective allocation of budgets.
Complete other responsibilities as requested by the Communications Director.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a related field.
Five to nine years’ professional experience in a similar role and functions.
Experience working with NGOs or on social issues.
A strong portfolio of communications productions.
A passion for communications and PCRF’s mission.
Skills:

Exceptional professional standard of written English.
Excellent translation and proof-reading skills from Arabic to English.
Experience in creating communications content for multiple platforms.
Excellent computer skills, with proficiency in documents, spreadsheets, databases, presentations, multimedia, calendars, and email.
Strong organizational skills.
Active listening and problem-solving skills.
Sensitivity and awareness of different interpretations of communication approaches in diverse global and local cultural contexts.
