الوصف الوظيفي:Business Alliance HR is recruiting a Finance Officer for a regional development NGO located in Ramallah, Palestine.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Financial Records and Transactions:
Maintain accurate and updated records for daily financial transactions on the accounting system.
Ensure compliance with the organization, Donor policies, and local laws in maintaining financial records.
Fill all documents or scanned copies as needed and keep the filing system maintained.
Payment Preparation and Bank Reconciliation:
Prevent payment duplicates by checking expense tracking sheets and approved budgets.
Prepare and review all supporting documents related to any payment according to the organization's procedures, and follow up on all needed support with vendors, and suppliers.
Support in making requests for transfers and payment orders Locally, regionally, and internationally.
Prepare a weekly cash reconciliation and monthly bank reconciliation.
Reconcile accounts payable and receivables.
Deposit outstanding cash or cheques in the organization's bank accounts and follow up with vendors on outstanding checks.
Book and follow up the receipt vouchers for the organization's special travel donation and other small donations.
Taxes:
Prepare vendor income taxes and tax returns, and follow up with the ministry of finance for the related taxes.
Prepare and follow up on the VAT Exemption letters.
Prepare the VAT Report.
Support in Financial Report Preparation and Audit:
Assist the Financial & Operations Manager in preparing monthly financial reports.
Support the Financial & Operations Manager in internal and external audits, collaborate with the external auditors to prepare the audit sample, and provide requested information.
Other relevant duties:
Reconcile the petty cash boxes and conduct regular spot checks.
Maintain the integrity of cash balances and cash flow all the time.
Inform the Finance and operation Manager of all significant correspondence and non-routine financial issues as they emerge.
متطلبات الوظيفة:Special Requirements & Skills:
Proven experience in the non-profit sector, and local or international NGOs.
Proven experience with different donors.
Strong knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Knowledge of Palestinian Authority laws and regulations.
Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
Understanding of financial systems and procedures.
Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Office applications (e.g., word, excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to work in a multinational diverse environment.
Fluency in English, spoken, written, and oral.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Jerusalem ID is a plus.
Years of experience:
Minimum 3- 5 years of experience in a similar role.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Location:
Ramallah, Palestine.
Languages Required:
Fluent in Arabic & English.
