Background

Sharek Youth Forum is an organization focused on the development of young people through designing, supporting, and implementing youth initiatives, programmers and projects in Palestine. Independent, a-political, and community based Sharek focuses solely on the political, social, cultural, and economic empowerment of young people in Palestine. We strive to give a voice to young people, by making them engaged in bettering their lives, fostering a sense of community service and volunteerism, giving them the skills they need to succeed in all walks of life, and making their platforms to success rooted in the community and sustainable beyond the limited scope of any NGO.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILTIES

EMPLOYER Engagement:

-Develop and maintain relationships with local employers who have hiring needs for internships, entry, and mid-career level positions
-Conduct outbound calls to employers to help potential candidates graduate to the next level of engagement ،i.e. from registration with our job placement database, to advertising a job,، reviewing relevant Cvs, conducting interviews, and hiring 
-Perform in- person 1-to -1 sessions with significant employers and providing them with training on youth employment best practices
-Address various employers concerns and suggesting enhancements to the process
-Carry out presentations to employers, partners, and other referral agencies to raise the profile and increase job vacancies 

Employment follow – up:

-Follow up with employer accounts on their needs, usage, and behavior
-Follow up with employers on the number of hires done in partnership with Sharek
-Identify low points of engagement across employers
-Conduct regular surveys of employers to assess satisfaction rates
-Collect relevant data and prepare weekly reports 
-Other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Supervisor

This position will report directly to the program coordinator based in Sharek Youth Forum.
