All GIZ interventions in Palestine align with the National Development Pact for the Future of Palestine and United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, which guide our efforts toward inclusive and sustainable development. The Good Governance and Inclusive Societies Cluster currently comprises of a number of projects related to Multi-Level Reform of the Government, Local Governance Reform, human-centered digitalization of public services, support to civil protection and civil society engagement in inclusive governance reforms, Commissioning parties range from the BMZ and the German Federal Foreign Office to the EU, with a growing team of currently 45 national and international employees.


To support the realization of its mission in Palestine, GIZ is seeking the full-time 100% position below to support the Good Governance and Inclusive Societies Cluster Management and its projects.

“Junior Cluster Advisor”
Tasks and Functions include but are not limited to:
▪ Supports essential cluster management processes, such as preparation and organization of workshops, preparation of  terms of reference (TOR)  for workshops or consultants, and any additional support required within this field.
▪ Supports planning and coordination of activities and engagements related to cluster management at national and international level.
▪ Supports in preparation of short-term assignments, such as field missions, duty trips, liaise with country office.
▪ Contributes to monitoring and reporting of projects with regard to achievement of objectives.
▪ Supports the establishment and maintenance of cluster knowledge management, research, documentation, and structured filing in line with GIZ rules and procedures.
▪ Coordinates internal and external cluster meetings and events, including agenda preparation, and supports the preparation of technical reports, briefs, presentations, and other visibility materials in close cooperation with the cluster communication expert.
▪ Ensure proper documentation, records management, while supporting quality assurance processes in accordance with GIZ rules, standards, and internal regulations.
▪ Maintains an overview of internal regulations on data and implements them for cluster governance.
▪ Performs any other relevant tasks or responsibilities as assigned by the cluster coordinator, supporting the overall objectives of the cluster.
متطلبات الوظيفة:
Required qualifications, competences, and experiences are considered an asset:

▪ BA degree in business administration, public administration management, international cooperation, or development.
▪ At least 2 years of experience in the field of project management and experience in coordination of complex tasks in a highly demanding environment, preferably in the field of international cooperation.
▪ Proven experience in setting up innovative knowledge management systems related to data and records management.
▪ Experience in research related to the projects´s requirements is desirable.
▪ Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Office application (e.g. MS Office, Access, or other database programme), multimedia skills (e.g. InDesign, Premiere, Illustrator) are an advantage.
▪ Digital and tech Savy, solution-oriented and innovative mindset.
▪ Good working knowledge of ITC technologies (related software, phone, fax, email, the internet)
▪ Excellent command of spoken and written English and Arabic, German is a plus.
▪ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
▪ Ability to work under pressure, self-initiator, multitask, flexible and able to work with people of different backgrounds, service oriented, friendly personality, well organised and motivated.
▪ Willingness to upskill as required by the tasks to be performed – corresponding measures are agreed with management.
