Needs to fill the position of a:

Driver, Westbank Base

Type: Full Time Contract

Duration of the contract: 6 months including 3 months' probation period, with a possibility of extension based on performance and fund availability.

Job Location: (West Bank) Jericho office and partially Bir Zeit office.

Deadline: 31 March 2026

Reports to: Logistics Officer

Summary:
Médicos del Mundo-Spain (MdM-S), Medicos Del Mundo (MDM SPAIN): is an international humanitarian organization, working to make effective the Universal Right to Health. MdM is a non-profitable, non-governmental, non-political and non-confessional organization operating under the principles of humanity, neutrality, impartiality and independence.

Specific objectives
Drive the team and goods to the areas of operation as directed.
Apply MdM security and driving procedures.
Assist the logistics department with logistical and other arrangements related to events.
Collect quotations, invoices and receipts from suppliers.
Facilitate the payment of invoices to suppliers and any other provider.
Ensure security and safety of MdM Team on the site.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Programming:
Drive the team according to the movement planning.
Drive goods, collect and/or distribute letters and documents when required.
Update logbooks based on movements.
Inform the Logistic officer during movements (back up) and accidents according to MdM security guidelines.
Ensure all maintenance, constant cleanliness fully fuel of all cars.
Implement the weekly assessment of all cars (Vehicles checklist)
Assist the Logistic officer in the daily organization of office movements.
Provide the base staff with all the needed materials for implementation of activities in the field.
Assist field staff in the distribution of materials and other related documents when needed.
Assist the logistics department with logistical and other arrangements related to events.
Collect quotations, invoices and receipt from supplier-s based on the request of the logistics officer
Facilitate the payment of invoices to suppliers and any other providers.
Reporting

Report immediately any technical failure / problem; carry out the maintenance of the vehicles.
Report about the consumption or shortage of the materials used in the activities (Juice, water, Snacks, stationery).
Report car accidents and security incidents (MdM security report template) within 24 hours
Security and Safety

Be in charge of the safety of the staff and the vehicles during movements and in the field.
Inform the direct supervisor before using any alternative roads.
Inform the direct supervisor immediately of any incident/ accident.
Ensure that the team members follow the security rules during the movements or in any incident.
Ensure that MdM Cars are always equipped with Emergency First Aid boxes, spare wheel(s), all equipment needed to change flat tyres and any other equipment/item mentioned in MdM vehicles checklist.
Others

Perform relevant but minor logistics and administrative tasks as needed and requested by the direct supervisor.

Requirements
High School certificate required.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar position.
Possession valid driving license for at least 3 years.
Proven skills in dealing with security and safety matters and use of communication equipment.
General knowledge of mechanics.
Good command of English and Arabic languages is mandatory (both written and spoken).
Good knowledge of the geographical area.
Experience working with INGOs is an asset.
Ability to cope with difficult security context.
Strong commitment to learning new skills and willingness to be accompanied toward the achievement of new competencies.
Ability to work with a team as well as to work independently.
Ability to communicate any technical or non-technical topic with clarity and to share any important project information with the team.
Proficiency in Using Microsoft office.
Above 24 years.
Language requirements:

Good speaking, reading and writing English and Arabic.
Intermediate speaking and reading in Hebrew is an asset.
Compensation package:

Medicos del Mundo’s Salary charts will apply. In addition, MdM Spain covers a transportation allowance for the staff.
