Business Development Manager
40 hrs per week – 12 months contract (renewable based on the need and budget)

The Role
DEPARTMENT PURPOSE: To liaise with donors, facilitate and manage funding opportunities, manage business relationships with the confederation, manage the reporting requirements of grants and ensure all donor requirements are met.

TEAM PURPOSE:
To facilitate the development of business opportunities, the realization of these opportunities and ensure that all donor reporting deliverables are met to high standard and in a timely manner.
JOB PURPOSE : The Business Development Manager will support the Country Director and other country program staff to generate Oxfam income and partnerships at country levels in order to resource the OPT Country Operating Strategy .


Overall : To achieve the country program ambitions, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing resource mobilization strategies, for developing a up to date business strategy in order to forgo strategic partnerships between Oxfam and institutional donors, and identifying and developing new funding opportunities.

The post holder will be expected to work across the confederation in achieving the country funding strategy and be the primary link for accessing technical fundraising assistance and support from the confederation’s fundraising architecture. The post holder will support the program teams to deliver effectively and in a timely manner against donor expectations by facilitating and ensuring timely and quality, financial and programme reporting to donors.

The role will be part of the OPT country senior management team.

Essential Technical Competencies

Development Professional with a relevant Masters’ Degree and /or equivalent professional experience.
5+ years demonstrated professional experience in identifying and securing funding from major government donors, multilateral agencies, corporate donors and/or foundations or philanthropies. (such as, ECHO, BMZ, AICS, EU and UN)
Proven ability to identify new business opportunities and partnerships.
Experience of collaborating with and leading technical teams to develop program proposals that are funded by institutional donors .
Strong networking, representational and negotiation skills.
Ability to work effectively with others in a team across institutional boundaries and business units. Proven ability to utilize talent and expertise of team members to achieve objectives .
Ability to adapt and work within a multicultural, multilingual, and multidisciplinary environment Superior
Experience of capacity building, preferably in funding, including coaching and delivering training at individual and group level , of staff and partners .
Strong numeracy and financial and IT skills, with attention to detail to develop and analyse donor budgets and reports, and support the financial management / monitoring.
Ability to manage time effectively, and adapt priorities to respond to changing demands and tight deadlines m across multiple time-zones.
Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
Ability to present complex information in a succinct, precise and digestible form.
Capacity to work sensitively and in a participatory manner with diverse actors.
Ability to manage complex workload and meet deadlines.

The salary range for this position is set in scale C1 with a salary range starting from 20,536.83  ILS gross depending on experience, based on 40 hours a week (full time).
