This is a full-time position and working hours are from Sunday to Thursday, 08:00 – 16:00.
PREMIERE-URGENCE INTERNATIONAL (PUI) is an international, apolitical, non-religious, and non-profit French organization intervening in 23 countries worldwide. PUI aims to provide a global response to the fundamental needs to people affected by humanitarian crises, from the emergency to the restoration of their autonomy and dignity. Première-Urgence and Aide Medical Internationale merged in 2011 to offer a better range of lifesaving care and life-changing assistance to communities affected by extreme adversity.
PUI's humanitarian and development aid strategy in oPt focuses on providing support to populations affected by the coercive environment and subsequent IHL/HR violations in both the West Bank (WB) and the Gaza Strip (GS). PUI's programming incorporates interventions in several sectors, aiming at the prevention of livelihoods' loss and displacement as a consequence of protection threats, lack of services (health, education, WASH), and lack of access to agricultural lands or job opportunities.
The Agronomist technical Officer will work under the Senior Agronomy officer to assess, supervise, and implement the WBPC project, which focuses on settler violence in the middle of the West Bank.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting technical deep assessments for emergency, mitigation, and preventive measures across the West Bank.
Supervising and monitoring the delivery of materials to communities and beneficiaries.
Assisting with other tasks related to the WBPC operations department and its interventions.
Supporting other Première Urgence Internationale (PUI) projects, such as the HF project, when requested.
Internally, contributing to reporting, updating activity follow-up tools, and work plans.
Externally, developing community mobilization, building relations with municipal and village councils, and identifying local partners and vulnerable groups.
Alerting the team to any protection issues or incidents in the area.
Ensuring PUI procedures, regulations, and code of conduct are followed during activities.
متطلبات الوظيفة:REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Bachelor degree preferably in Agriculture studies, Agronomist, or related field .
Minimum of 4 years of relevant working experience in related fields Project.
NGOs experience is preferred.
Valid and clean driving license.
REQUIRED PERSONAL CHARECTERSTICS
Very good knowledge of North West Bank villages and ability of movement in the field.
Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English.
Professionalism, presentation, communication and networking skills.
Ability to work independently while taking initiatives and showing a sense of responsibility
Ability to work under pressure.
Ability to work with various partners, in a spirit of openness, and with adaptable communications strategies.
Ability to write reports and follow-up execution of projects’ activities.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Sense of diplomacy.
Dynamic team player.
Computer skills, in particular MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Project and the Internet.
