Volunteer for Hope (VHO) is a nonprofit organization that was established in 2017 in Palestine, and has been registered with the Palestinian Ministry of Interior since 12/3/2019 under registration number QR-1484-C. VHO is dedicated to fostering socio-economic development for vulnerable and marginalized groups, with a particular focus on empowering women and youth. Our approach includes improving their quality of life by equipping them with the skills, resources and opportunities they need to achieve economic self-sufficiency and long-term success.

At VHO, we believe that with the right support, women and youth can thrive and make meaningful contributions to their communities. Our initiatives include skills training, business development services and access to financial and technical resources, all aimed at fostering economic independence and creating pathways to entrepreneurship and employment. To date, we have positively impacted and reached over 4,035 beneficiaries.

In addition to our long-term development effort, VHO recognizes the critical importance of providing immediate assistance to vulnerable and marginalized communities. Our interventions include the distribution in-kind support and financial aid to alleviate hardship and create a supportive environment that enables beneficiaries to engage more fully in our longer-term socio-economic empowerment initiatives.

Position Overview:
VHO is seeking an experienced Fundraising and Public Relations Specialist to lead our fundraising initiatives and enhance the organization's public image. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective strategies to raise funds and maintain positive relationships with donors, partners, and the public. This dual role combines fundraising with public relations efforts to increase our financial sustainability and visibility.

Key Responsibilities:

Fundraising:
Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to secure financial support from grants, donations, corporate sponsorships, and community events.
Research and identify potential funding opportunities and write compelling grant proposals.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with individual donors, foundations, and corporate partners.
Organize and oversee fundraising campaigns, events, and initiatives that align with VHO’s mission.
Prepare detailed reports on fundraising efforts and ensure donor recognition and stewardship.
Public Relations:

Create and execute a public relations strategy that strengthens VHO’s brand and increases awareness of our mission and impact.
Manage media relations, including writing press releases, coordinating interviews, and engaging with local and international media outlets.
Develop content for VHO’s website, social media platforms, newsletters, and other marketing materials to promote our programs and achievements.
Serve as a spokesperson for VHO in public forums and media interactions.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with organizational goals.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Fundraising, or a related field.
At least 10 years of experience in non-profit sector and 3 years of experience in fundraising, public relations, or a similar role in the non-profit sector.
Proven track record of securing funds through grant writing, donor outreach, and events.
Exceptional communication, writing, and presentation skills in English and Arabic.
Experience managing media relations and creating marketing content.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
