الوصف الوظيفي:
Médecins du Monde (MdM) France is an international medical organization, which has been present in the Palestinian territory since 1995. It operates in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank (WB) through offices located in Jerusalem, Bir Zeit, and Nablus.

MdM is currently looking for a qualified candidate to fill the position of House keeper based in Bir Ziet.

Number of vacancies: one

Duration: 1 year, renew of contract depend on availability of Fund

Start date: ASAP.

Location: Bir Ziet

I.                MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Daily office and housekeeping

Sweep, mop and, where applicable, polish the floor of each room at least once a week.
Remove dust from all furniture and office and GHs equipment.
Disinfect and clean toilets, bath-tubs and showers, bathroom sinks and wall tiles, with checking of several times a day.
Respect the basic hygienic rules in the preparation and storage of food and drinks then clean the kitchen and its utensils after preparing anything in the kitchen.
Clean all fridges containing food or drinks
Wash curtains and clean the windows.
Prepare coffee and tea for visitors and MDM team.
Empty trash cans and replace trash lining if needed.
Keep the logistic manager informed about the office and GHs needs consumable items (as detergents, drinkable items and others)
Additional housekeeping

Wash and iron clothes of the residents/visitors upon request (separate the laundry by colors before washing it and wash delicate by hand)
Provide correct receipts for the items bought separate receipts for MDM items and food items purchased for the residents
Wash and iron used bed sheets and towels when guests leave, weekly for residents
Prepare the bed for new visitors.
Make beds and open windows to allow fresh air into the rooms
Organize the professional dry-cleaning of blankets and carpets before the cold season.
Daily office keeping

Clean all dishes and cups.
Remove dust from all furniture; desks, equipment
Clean the toilets and sinks
Prepare needed hospitality for visitors Clean again the toilets and sinks
Empty all bins
Others
Inform the direct supervisor in case of technical problems in the GHs
Monitor use of water heaters to avoid over-consumption of electricity
Perform any other additional duty on request of his/her supervisor
This job description can be modified at any time according to changes in MDM activities or in the context with prior notice and agreement between the two parties. On demand of the direct supervisor, other tasks might be added to that present list.

The objectives of the programs are to limit the medical impact of the restrictions in accessing medical care on the Palestinian population, to improve mental health and psycho social care and to bear witness to the violations of the right to health.

The employee shall respect Médecins du Monde - France’s schedule and Terms and Conditions of Engagement for National Staff and is expected to be available anytime in order to answer to an emergency situation and be flexible and available beyond normal working hours if requested.

متطلبات الوظيفة:
Requested Competence/Skills/Profile

2 years of experience in working as Housekeeper in any organization.
Good communication skills, preferable English and Arabic.
Be in good health since this duty needs some physical efforts.
Ability to cope with difficult security context.
Ability to be responsible as well as to work independently.
Minimal level of education is primary school.
