Position: MEAL Assistant

Duty Station:Tubas, with frequent travel across West Bank

Reporting to: MEAL Manager

Contract: 6 months initial contract, open to renewal

Salary: between 4650 ILS – 6000 ILS per month depending on experience

WeWorld Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) system ensures the effectiveness and assesses the impact of project and programs. WeWorld MEAL staff is tasked with the systematic tracking and monitoring of project activities, capturing both qualitative and quantitative data. As part of the MEAL’s activities in line with the organization’s commitment to the highest standards of accountability, the department employs established and quickly developing MEAL systems including FCRM. The MEAL assistance will support all MEAL activities, systems.

2. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Reporting to the MEAL Manager, the MEAL Assistant is responsible for supporting the effective operation of the Feedback and Complaint Response Mechanism, ensuring feedback is collected, logged, referred, and responded to in a timely, respectful, and confidential manner. The role also supports MEAL activities and operations throughout oPt and provides support to MEAL Manager.

3. MAIN FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES
A. Feedback Collection and Management
Receive, document, and categorize feedback and complaints through the established FCRM channels and as per the organizational SOPs.
Maintain the confidentiality and integrity of feedback data.
Ensure sensitive and serious complaints (e.g., protection/Safeguarding) are immediately flagged and referred to appropriate focal points as per SOPs.
Maintain and regularly update the FCRM database/log with accurate information.
Ensure timely follow-up on referred cases and document outcomes.
Support data analysis and generate regular reports on trends and volumes of feedback.
Provide support where necessary to raise awareness among communities and beneficiaries about the existence, purpose, and use of the FCRM.
Assist in organizing community feedback sessions or information-sharing activities to close the feedback loop.
Document sessions held in response to FCRM cases and follow up on action points.
Work closely with program teams, protection, management and MEAL colleagues to ensure timely and appropriate response to complaints and feedback.
Contribute to the review and improvement of FCRM tools, SOPs, and practices.
B. Monitoring and Evaluation
Support the MEAL Manager/Officers in liaising with partners and consortia.
Conduct regular monitoring field visits (on-site monitoring, quality spot checks, support to learning activities, qualitative data collection etc.) in WeWorld Areas of Intervention and provide timely feedback.
Update and report on the Activity Tracker, Indicator Tracker and any other relevant performance monitoring tool.
Draft reports on a regular basis to inform the MEAL coordination on the activities conducted as well as to capitalize on the data collection activities performed.
C. Accountability and Learning
Identify strengths and weaknesses in existing data collection and propose solutions, suggesting ways to facilitate data management among projects’ teams and other WeWorld departments.
In collaboration with the MEAL Coordinator, facilitate learning events and disseminate lessons learnt.
Ensure information management and archiving of MEAL department folders, tools, activities, trackers and other documents.
Support learning from feedback trends to inform program design and improve service delivery.
Carry out other related activities as assigned by the MEAL Manager as deemed necessary.

Essential Requirements
University degree in social sciences, international cooperation, politics and international affairs, statistics, or related disciplines.
Minimum 2 years of experience within NGOs, including minimum 1 years within M&E/MEAL/compliance/community engagement operations with INGO.
Experience in mobile data collection tools such as KoboToolBox, ODK, Survey123 is mandatory.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (especially Excel, Word and Outlook) is mandatory.
Proven technical skills in engaging with beneficiaries, public, and/or stakeholders.
Experience in handling sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
Familiarity with humanitarian aid and development projects and interventions.
Good analytical and writing skills and good capacity to produce high-quality reports in English is mandatory.
High proficiency in English and Arabic, both written and spoken is mandatory.

Desirable Requirements
Previous experience in working in WASH/Water Governance, Livelihood, Material Assistance, Education or Local Development Planning projects.
Proficiency in SQL, Python, or R for data manipulation and experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Matplotlib are an advantage.
Valid driving license
