About Taawon (Welfare Association):

Taawon (Welfare Association) is a non-profit, civic organization launched in Geneva in the year 1983, upon the initiative of a group of Palestinian business leaders and intellectuals. Taawon has become one of the largest organizations operating in Palestine and the diaspora camps in Lebanon, whereby it touches the lives of more than one million Palestinians on an annual basis, with half of these beneficiaries being women.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
Scope of Work:
Manage Taawon social media platforms daily and ensure an active, coherent and professional digital presence.
Develop and maintain monthly and weekly social media content calendars aligned with organizational, programmatic and fundraising priorities.
Draft, edit, adapt and publish high-quality content in Arabic and English.
Ensure that all published content is accurate, engaging, audience-appropriate and aligned with Taawon brand, tone of voice and communications standards.
Develop platform-specific content and adapt messages, formats and calls to action to the audience and purpose of each channel.
Work with Communications, Programs and PRM colleagues to identify stories, achievements, human-interest content, programs updates, campaigns and institutional messages suitable for digital platforms.
Support digital fundraising campaigns in close coordination with PRM and Communications, including campaign content, calls to action and donor-facing digital material.
Prepare clear creative briefs for graphic design, photography, video, reels, animations and other multimedia products.
Proactively identify opportunities for reels, short-form video, stories, interactive content and emerging digital formats.
Monitor comments, direct messages, mentions and audience engagement and ensure timely and appropriate responses.
Escalate sensitive comments, misinformation, reputational concerns or potential communications risks in accordance with Taawon internal procedures.
Support live digital coverage of events, campaigns, field activities and major organizational announcements.
Monitor relevant digital trends, conversations, creators and opportunities related to Taawon areas of work.
Support influencer and digital creator engagement when required.
Track performance across platforms and use analytics to continuously improve content, targeting and engagement.
Ensure all content follows the required internal coordination, review and approval process prior to publication.
Key Deliverables

Monthly social media content and campaign plan.

Regular Arabic and English social media content across Taawon platforms.
Reels, stories, short-form video concepts and multimedia content briefs.
Digital content supporting institutional, programs and fundraising campaigns.
Timely community management, including monitoring of comments, messages and mentions.
Monthly social media performance report with key metrics, analysis, lessons and recommendations.
Quarterly analysis of audience growth, engagement, content performance and opportunities for improvement.
Well-organized archive of published content and relevant digital assets.
Recommendations on emerging platforms, formats, trends and digital opportunities relevant to Taawon.
Performance Indicators:

Consistency and timeliness of publishing against the approved content calendar.
Quality, accuracy and consistency of Arabic and English content.
Audience growth, reach and visibility across priority platforms.
Engagement rate and quality of audience interaction.
Performance of institutional and fundraising campaign content.
Growth and performance of video, reels and other short-form content.
Referral traffic to Taawon website, campaign pages and donation pages, where applicable.
Timeliness and quality of responses to comments and messages.
Quality and usefulness of monthly analytics, insights and recommendations.
Compliance with brand, editorial, safeguarding, confidentiality and approval requirements.
Ability to identify, flag and appropriately respond to emerging digital and reputational issues.
متطلبات الوظيفة:
Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, digital media or a related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in social media management, digital communications or digital marketing.
Demonstrated experience managing institutional, organizational or brand social media accounts.
Excellent written Arabic and English, with strong copywriting, editing and proofreading skills.
Strong understanding of major social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube, as well as relevant emerging platforms.
Demonstrated ability to develop engaging short-form, visual and multimedia content
Experience using social media management, scheduling and analytics tools.
Ability to interpret performance data and translate it into practical recommendations and content improvements.
Knowledge of paid digital promotion, audience targeting and campaign optimization is an advantage.
Experience with NGOs, humanitarian/development organizations, fundraising campaigns or mission-driven organizations is an advantage.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and respond quickly during campaigns, events and rapidly developing situations.
Strong creativity and digital storytelling skills.
Excellent judgment, accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong understanding of different digital audiences and how to tailor content accordingly.
Ability to translate complex programs information into clear, accessible and compelling public-facing content.
Sensitivity and sound judgment when communicating about children, vulnerable communities, humanitarian situations and personal stories.
Strong coordination and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across departments.
Strong organizational and time-management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Proactive approach to identifying content and engagement opportunities rather than relying solely on assigned material.
Ability to balance creativity, speed, accuracy and institutional reputation
