Teaching Vacancies, 2026 to 2027 School Year

Pioneers Baccalaureate School (PBS) is hiring qualified and committed teachers for the following positions:

Calculus Teacher
Physics Teacher
Chemistry Teacher
Biology Teacher
English Teacher
We are looking for educators who deliver strong, student-centered instruction, maintain high academic expectations, and contribute positively to a safe, structured, and supportive school environment.

Key Responsibilities
Teaching and Learning

Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons appropriate to the subject and grade level
Follow curriculum maps, unit plans, and pacing expectations
Provide clear instruction and support students in developing strong subject knowledge and academic skills
Differentiate instruction to address different student abilities and learning needs
Prepare assessments and provide timely, meaningful feedback
Maintain accurate grades, records, and student progress information
Use assessment data to identify learning gaps and adjust instruction accordingly
Prepare students for internal and external assessments as applicable to the course
Academic Rigor and Exam Preparation

Maintain high academic expectations and prepare students for challenging secondary and college-level coursework
Support students in developing test-taking, analytical, problem-solving, and academic writing skills as relevant to the subject
Experience preparing students for standardized, advanced, or college-readiness examinations is highly valued
Experience with programs or examinations such as SAT, AP, CLEP, IB, A-Level, or similar international or college-readiness programs is a strong advantage
Classroom Culture and Student Support

Maintain a safe, structured, respectful, and academically focused classroom environment
Apply school behavior expectations consistently and professionally
Build positive relationships with students while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries
Identify and document academic or behavioral concerns and communicate with parents when needed
Collaborate with counselors, department heads, deans, and administration to support student progress and well-being
Professional Responsibilities

Prepare lesson plans, materials, assessments, and other required documentation in advance and by established deadlines
Attend meetings, professional development, trainings, and required school events
Complete assigned supervision, coverage, and school duties when needed
Maintain confidentiality and follow school policies and child protection expectations
Collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute positively to school culture

Qualifications
Required

Bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject, Education, or a closely related field
Strong subject knowledge in the position being applied for
Strong classroom management and student-centered teaching practices
Excellent communication, organization, reliability, and professionalism
Ability to work collaboratively within a school environment
A high level of spoken and written English is mandatory for all positions
Applicants must be able to teach, communicate, prepare materials, and participate in professional school communication effectively in English
Highly Preferred

Previous teaching experience in the relevant subject
Teaching certification or professional teaching qualification
Experience teaching secondary or high school students
Experience preparing students for SAT, AP, CLEP, IB, A-Level, or comparable standardized, advanced, or college-level examinations
Experience teaching advanced, honors, or college-preparatory courses
Familiarity with standards-based instruction, assessment, and data-informed teaching
