Lobbying and advocacy Officer
Location: Ramallah

Starting date: As soon as possible

1. Position Objective
The Advocacy Officer will support the development and implementation of PARC’s advocacy, communication, and media activities. The position aims to strengthen partnerships, improve beneficiaries’ access to services delivered through PARC’s programs and projects, promote the organization’s work, and contribute to the sustainability and visibility of its interventions.

2. Key Responsibilities
The Advocacy Officer will be responsible for the following:

Develop sector-specific advocacy plans in close coordination with the central Advocacy Department.
Design and implement advocacy campaigns in coordination with relevant departments and stakeholders.
Organize workshops, meetings, consultations, and other advocacy-related events, and prepare the related reports.
Maintain an updated database of stakeholders, partners, media contacts, and other actors relevant to PARC’s advocacy activities.
Prepare press releases, media statements, briefing materials, and advocacy reports in coordination with the central Advocacy Department.
Contribute to the design of advocacy interventions within project proposals, including preparing clear descriptions of proposed activities.
Implement advocacy and communication activities under funded projects in coordination with the responsible project teams.
Prepare periodic reports on sector-related advocacy activities and submit them to the central Advocacy Department.
Promote PARC’s programs, projects, activities, and achievements through professional and well-planned media engagement.
Prepare and issue PARC’s media newsletter and other communication materials.
Train and support relevant staff members in effective engagement with media outlets.
Identify and support suitable organizational representatives and spokespersons for media appearances.
Maintain effective relationships with media outlets and connect PARC’s work and messages with relevant media platforms.
Contribute, as part of the development team, to updating and improving PARC’s website and online content.
Provide the Director General with advice and recommendations on media requirements and internal communication matters.
Perform any other duties related to the position assigned by the direct supervisor.

Required Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Development Studies, International Relations, Communications, Media, or another relevant field.
A minimum of three years of relevant professional experience in advocacy, communications, media, development, or related areas.
Demonstrated experience in planning, coordination, and report writing.
Experience in designing or implementing advocacy and communication campaigns.
Previous experience with civil society, development, or humanitarian organizations is an advantage.
4. Required Knowledge and Skills
Knowledge of advocacy approaches, communication strategies, and campaign design.
Strong writing, editing, reporting, and journalistic writing skills.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and coordination skills.
Good organizational and project-management skills.
Ability to organize workshops, meetings, and public events.
Ability to communicate professionally with partners, stakeholders, beneficiaries, and media representatives.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
Excellent command of Arabic and English, both written and spoken.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, email, internet research, and other relevant digital tools.
