الوصف الوظيفي:Job Summary:
The Senior Accountant oversees core accounting activities across assigned entities, including GL, AP, AR, inventory, reconciliations, and period-end closing. Ensures accurate, timely, and compliant financial records and reporting in line with company policies and internal controls. Supports accounting system utilization and migration while providing guidance and training to accounting staff.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
General Ledger & Period-End Closing-
Record, classify, and review accounting entries in accordance with accounting standards and company policies, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and correct period allocation.
Support the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes, including accruals, prepayments, provisions, depreciation, and adjusting journal entries.
Perform balance sheet and sub-ledger to General Ledger reconciliations, ensuring all accounts are supported by proper documentation.
Ensure proper filing and archiving of accounting records, contracts, invoices, and supporting documents for audit and compliance purposes.
Perform intercompany reconciliations, ensure recording of all related parties transactions and communicate them with all required parties.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies between intercompany accounts.
Accounts Payable & Purchase Orders-
Manage the accounts payable cycle from invoice receipt to payment processing, verifying supplier invoices against purchase orders, contracts, and goods receipt documentation.
Validate and review purchase orders, ensuring proper cost allocation to inventory, cost centers, or projects.
Reconcile supplier statements, investigate discrepancies between purchase orders, invoices, and received goods, and coordinate their resolution.
Prepare supplier payment schedules and cheques in compliance with the company approval matrix, and address supplier payment inquiries professionally.
Monitor outstanding payables and ensure adherence to agreed credit terms.
Accounts Receivable & Collection Follow-Up-
Record revenues and customer invoices in compliance with accounting standards and company policies, supported by contracts or approved documentation.
Apply and allocate customer receipts to the relevant invoices, and resolve short payments, overpayments, and payment mismatches.
Reconcile customer statements of account with General Ledger balances and clear discrepancies with the concerned departments and customers.
Prepare aging and overdue receivable reports, follow up on collection status and disputes as per the approved credit terms, and calculate expected credit losses in line with IFRS.
Prepare Account receivables, related sales and collection reports.
Follow up internally with sales and operations teams regarding collection status and disputes according to the credit period terms.
Review Showrooms and Service centers sales and payments, reconcile the POS with GL.
Maintain documentation supporting reconciliation adjustments and report detailed justifications on the adjustments to the management.
Inventory & Cost Accounting-
Review and Validate inventory transfer, clearance, customs, freight, and duty entries, ensuring proper capitalization and accurate inventory valuation.
Calculate inventory costing through the accounting system and prepare inventory movement, slow-moving, and damage reports.
Participate in and supervise periodic physical stock counts, reconcile counts with system records, and prepare justifications for variances.
Perform monthly reconciliation between the inventory sub-ledger and General Ledger balances.
Treasury, Bank & Intercompany Reconciliation-
Prepare and review monthly bank reconciliations for all company accounts, ensuring discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly.
Monitor daily bank movements, deposits, withdrawals, and transfers, and report on cash flow and liquidity positions to management.
Coordinate with banks regarding transfers, cheque clearances, guarantees, and other banking matters.
Reconcile intercompany balances across related entities on a regular basis, record intercompany transactions accurately, and resolve differences with the concerned entities.
Reporting, Financial Control & Other Duties-
Assist in preparing periodic financial reports and management summaries.
Review and validate employee commission, deductions and their Balances.
Apply and monitor the companies' SOPs and internal controls within the assigned accounting cycles.
Performs any other duties related to his job as assigned by the Direct Manager.
System Utilization, Training & Support-
Use the Odoo Accounting System and other current accounting systems accurately, ensuring correct chart of accounts usage and transaction processing.
Train accounting staff and new employees on the proper use of accounting systems and procedures, and provide hands-on guidance on data entry accuracy.
Support system data migration activities of BNET Odoo.
متطلبات الوظيفة:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Min 3 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in multi-entity environments.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and account reconciliation.
Working understanding of revenue recognition, inventory valuation, and cost allocation principles.
Experience with Odoo and other current accounting systems is an advantage.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft office applications specially Excel.
