Our sectoral areas of engagement in Palestine focus on technical and higher education, enhancing the employment opportunities and the economic resilience of Palestinian enterprises, promoting the sustainable use of water resources, as well as good governance and improved service delivery at the municipality level. We also acknowledging the central role of the civil society, we support initiatives that foster social cohesion, resilience, and peace. Our work is firmly aligned with the National Development Pact for the Future of Palestine and United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, which guide our efforts toward inclusive and sustainable development.
The Alternative Approaches to Financial Inclusion of SMEs in Palestine II (AFIN II) Project aims to improve the access of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSME) and start-ups to inclusive sustainable financial services. Affordable financial services play an important role in enabling MSMEs to manage or mitigate financial losses due to external impacts, such as the consequences of war or climate change, and build resilient, sustainable livelihoods. The project supports the regulatory authorities Palestine Monetary Authority (PMA) and Palestine Capital Market Authority (PCMA) to improve the framework conditions for inclusive sustainable financial services. In addition, A-FIN II aims to support financial institutions (banks, microfinance institutions, fintechs) to adapt their processes and products to the needs of the target group and facilitate the development and piloting of inclusive sustainable financial solutions by providing training and advisory.
To support the Alternative Approaches to Financial Inclusion of SMEs in Palestine II (AFIN II) Project in Ramallah, we are looking for full-time (100%):
“Intern in the field of Financial Systems Development”
Tasks and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assisting the technical advisors of the project in preparing and implementing training and advisory activities of small businesses, financial institutions and regulatory authorities.
Support the organizational planning and implementation of workshops, training sessions and events with various external partners from the private and financial sector.
Contributing to research on financial inclusion of small or women led businesses as well as current challenges in financial sector in Palestine.
Contribute to communication activities, monitoring & evaluation and knowledge management.
Any other tasks assigned by the Head of the project.
متطلبات الوظيفة:Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field such as business administration, finance, economics, or similar, preferably with an interest in banking or microfinance.
First work experience in a private company, family business or financial institution is considered a plus.
Demonstrated interest in learning about financial inclusion of small businesses, financial market regulation and financial systems development.
High motivation to get acquainted with processes and procedures of a mature international organization.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Excellency in speaking and writing in Arabic and English.
