الوصف الوظيفي:Background:
Since 1968, Anera has helped refugees and others affected by conflicts in Palestine, Lebanon, and Jordan live with purpose and hope.
Anera, which has no political or religious affiliation, works on the ground with partners in Palestine (West Bank and Gaza), Lebanon, and Jordan. We mobilize resources for immediate emergency relief and for sustainable, long-term health, education, and economic development. Our staff serve in their communities, navigating the politics that constrict progress to get help where it’s needed most.
Arena’s education program has focused on supporting the early childhood development (ECD) sector in Palestine. It has also included infrastructural support for primary, secondary, and tertiary education providers as well as specialist training for university graduates.
Over the past 15 years, our ECD program renovated and built two hundred kindergartens; trained over a thousand teachers and worked with thousands of parents to improve the care and education of children in the community. Anera was also instrumental in developing Palestine’s first kindergarten curriculum with the Ministry of Education. In Gaza, since the start of the conflict, we helped establish and support tens of temporary learning spaces (TLSs) and have begun to re-establish existing kindergartens to support K – 6 children. Where possible, we also provide recreational activities, PSS, health, and nutritional support to children in schools and shelters.
