Background
The Palestinian Food & Agriculture Industries Union (PFAIU) is implementing projects aimed at strengthening the food industry sector, with a strong focus on sustainability, food safety, and capacity building. As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance industry standards and support its members, PFAIU is seeking a Projects & Programs Officer
As part of its ongoing expansion of programs and partnerships, PFAIU is seeking to recruit a qualified and motivated Projects & Programs Officer to support the development, implementation, and expansion of its projects and activities.
Job Purpose
The Projects & Programs Officer Projects & Programs Officer will play a key technical and operational role in the development, coordination and implementation of projects and programs led by PFAIU. The role includes contributing to project design, proposal writing, and leading/supporting the execution of activities, while ensuring high-quality delivery in line with the Union’s strategic priorities.
The position also involves representing the Union in technical meetings and coordinating with, beneficiaries, and stakeholders, and will report directly to the Project Coordinator/Manager, while supporting project implementation across multiple PFAIU programs as needed.

Contribute to the development of project proposals, concept notes, and funding applications.
Support the overall coordination and implementation of all projects managed by PFAIU, as directed by the Project Coordinator/Manager.
Plan, coordinating, and delivering training sessions on food safety and food industry-related topics.
Attend and actively participate in meetings, workshops, and training sessions related to project activities.
Support the development and preparation of training materials, ensuring alignment with project objectives and industry standards.
Follow up on project implementation, deliverables, and timelines to ensure quality and compliance.
Conduct field visits to participating companies and beneficiaries to monitor project implementation and training outcomes.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of project activities, including attendance, evaluations, and follow-up actions.
prepare periodic narrative and technical reports in both Arabic and English.
Coordinate logistical arrangements for trainings, workshops, meetings, and other project-related events.
Communicate and coordinate with stakeholders, including trainers, consultants, member companies, and partners.
Provide administrative and operational support to ensure smooth and efficient project implementation.
Contribute to the development of project documents, including drafting Terms of Reference (ToRs), concept notes, project proposals, and grant applications.
Support in identifying funding opportunities and contributing technical and administrative inputs to proposal development processes.
Ensure compliance with project procedures, timelines, and quality standards.
Carry out any other tasks assigned to support the effective coordination, implementation, and development of PFAIU projects and programs.
Qualifications and Experience
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Agriculture, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant professional experience,
project management, program implementation, or development projects.
Proven experience working with NGOs or development projects is an asset.
Experience in the food industry, familiarity with food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO) is preferred.

Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Languages
Fluency in Arabic and Excellent command of English (written and spoken) are required.
