The Project Intern works 20 hours per week at Bethlehem University’s Palestine Institute for Biodiversity and Sustainability (PIBS). The position holder supports the Lead Botanist and Project Manager in the implementation of the Birdlife International/CEPF-funded project. This role focuses on field conservation, community outreach, and the development of educational tools to protect threatened plant species in the Wadi Al-Makhrour Key Biodiversity Area (KBA).

Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Agriculture, or related fields.
Has a demonstrable interest in botany, environmental studies, or community education.
Gender Equity: In accordance with project goals, preference will be given to qualified female candidates to support gender representation in the field.

Ability to work in field conditions.
Has a strong interest in community-based conservation.
Must be a team player.
Proficiency in both Arabic and English (written and verbal) is required.
