Project Overview
The project "Strengthening Sustainable Livelihoods in Rural Areas III" (LHP III) aims to improve the economic resilience of the vulnerable population working in agriculture in the northern West Bank. The project focuses on strengthening entrepreneurial capacities of small agricultural enterprises, enhancing capacities of public actors to implement broad, gender-sensitive agricultural advisory services, improving the conditions for resource-conserving and climate-adapted production for smallholder farmers, and for enhancing knowledge management for improving economic resilience.
To support the GIZ Livelihoods project in Ramallah, we are looking for full-time (100%):

“Capacity Development Advisor”

 Tasks and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Advise on capacity development measures, addressing the needs of rural communities, smallholder farmers, local institutions, and strategic partners.

Support the project team in the planning, organization, and coordination of capacity-building activities, training measures, workshops, local and regional exchanges on topics including sustainable livelihoods, entrepreneurship, market access, financial management, and climate-adapted agriculture.
Coordinate logistical arrangements throughout the implementation of project activities to ensure smooth and effective delivery.
Track progress, assess outcomes, collect feedback, and contribute to monitoring, evaluation, and reporting processes of project activities.
Advise and support the design and implementation of approaches and measures aimed to strengthen agricultural business development for farmers, women groups, and cooperatives on initiatives that promote economic resilience in rural areas.
 Support and maintain knowledge sharing approaches, including digital platforms, and other knowledge management formats and contribute to the development of processes that enable sustainable access to knowledge for advisors, farmers, cooperatives, and women’s groups.
 Facilitate partnerships and stakeholder coordination, primarily with the Ministry of Agriculture, NGOs, community groups and other project partners to ensure harmonized, inclusive, and sustainable capacity-development approaches
متطلبات الوظيفة:
Bachelor's degree in capacity development, business administration, rural or strategic development, social sciences, environmental management, other development studies, or a related field.
4-6 years professional experience, preferably in development projects, capacity development, business development, rural livelihoods, agricultural, or environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic; proficiency in German is a strong asset.
Demonstrated expertise in sustainable development, agriculture, climate-smart practices, and\or business development.
Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and facilitate knowledge sharing across teams.
Prior experience working in development projects, specifically in preparing and managing contracts and ensuring timely delivery of results.
Experience working with community-based organizations, cooperatives, women’s groups, and smallholder farmers is an advantage.
High level of adaptability, commitment, and capacity to work independently and within teams.
Holds a valid driving license and has the ability and willingness to travel frequently to rural project sites, specifically throughout the northern West Bank.
