الوصف الوظيفي:
The CRIC is an Italian non-governmental organization, non-profit, established in 1983 with the aim of supporting "South-South" cooperation based on the sharing of resources, positive values, and experiences, in a perspective of mutual exchange between Southern Italy and the South of the World.

Over the years, it has implemented programs in Italy and abroad, aimed at promoting autonomous, solidarity-based, and sustainable local development, agroecology, food sovereignty, solidarity economy, and social participation. In certain areas, such initiatives have also been accompanied by humanitarian aid for populations affected by severe environmental or war crises, but always privileging a non-welfare-based approach to aid.

In Palestine, CRIC is currently implementing a food security project " Contribution to the food security of families living in rural areas in the southern part of the West Bank (Bethlehem and Hebron)" funded by the "8 per mille" (eight per thousand) share under direct state management of the Italian Presidency of the Council of Ministers.

Key responsibilities
Take overall responsibility for the implementation of the project to achieve its objectives, in close coordination with the local partner and CRIC’s office in Italy.
Chair the Management Committee on behalf of CRIC as project lead partner, ensuring collective coordination of project execution. Key responsibilities include:Defining and approving the operational plan, monitoring its implementation through the monitoring framework, and introducing corrective measures when necessary.
Evaluating project progress.
Establishing the Procurement Committee in compliance with donor regulations and CRIC’s internal procedures.
Facilitating monitoring, follow-up missions, and audit activities.
Coordinating participatory evaluation processes.
Lead and coordinate the Project Team, ensuring efficient teamwork through the organization of internal training, knowledge sharing, and mutual capacity building.
Represent the project vis-à-vis donors, institutions, and beneficiaries, collaborating with the partner to build and maintain strong relationships with local stakeholders.
Supervise and plan the proper use of project resources and oversee the work of the project administrator, ensuring compliance with local laws, donor requirements, and CRIC’s internal procedures.
Prepare semi-annual and final narrative and financial reports, coordinating and supporting the partner’s reporting efforts according to the roles and responsibilities defined in the partnership agreement, with administrative support from the Italy-based office.
Collect and systematically organize all project documentation.
Manage project assets and oversee the CRIC office operations.
Coordinate the development and implementation of a communication and information strategy on project activities, while contributing to awareness-raising materials for use in Italy.
In consultation with the Management Committee, select and hire project staff, and sign relevant contracts and agreements.
Provide continuous supervision and follow-up of field activities.
Ensure the application of staff safety and security protocols according to established guidelines and tools.
Build relationships and foster synergies and collaborations with all local actors to ensure continuity, sustainability, and long-term impact of the intervention.
Maintain effective internal and external communication among all project stakeholders.
Promptly and accurately report any challenges encountered during project implementation to the Steering Committee and CRIC, and contribute to identifying appropriate solutions.
Apply strong contextual analysis, active listening, and understanding of local needs and potentialities to identify opportunities for follow-up or complementary initiatives.

Qualifications and skills:

Strong sensitivity to context, respect for diversity, and active listening skills.
Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in managing international cooperation programs.
Professional experience working in Palestine.
Experience in project management in agriculture and local development sectors.
Fluency in English.
Solid skills in financial and budget management.
University degree in Social and Economic Sciences, Political Science, Development Cooperation, Agronomy, or related fields.
Proven experience in project identification and proposal writing for public and private donors.
Ability to effectively engage with funding agencies and international organizations.
Excellent organizational skills in managing staff, and material and financial resources.
Ability to work in teams, mediate, and engage stakeholders and communities, even under stressful conditions.
Commitment to working within an organization in line with its principles and values.
Knowledge of the sociopolitical context in Palestine and familiarity with agroecology-related issues.
