Position: Field Coordinator
Reporting to: Field Team Leader
Duration: 5 months (renewable subject to performance and availability of funds)
Location: Bethlehem & Hebron
Expected Starting Date: As soon as possible
BACKDROUND
QADER for Community Development is a Palestinian non-governmental, not-for-profit, and rights-based organization that specializes in the rights of persons with disabilities, and was established in 2008 in Bethlehem, Palestine. QADER leads a twin-track approach, dedicated to the empowerment and protection of children, women, and youth with disabilities from marginalization, discrimination, and all forms of disability and gender-based violence. QADER is committed to aligning societal, institutional, and policy contexts with the principles of “disability inclusion” and “leave no one behind” in Palestine. Through this alignment, QADER strives to foster its active engagement and meaningful participation across diverse facets of life and to ensure their full entitlements of rights by local laws and international human rights conventions and standards. In addition, QADER leads its international advocacy efforts through monitoring and documentation of human rights violations and international crimes, legal analysis
Within its Economic Empowerment Program, QADER is implementing the "Immediate Response in Southern West Bank” Project. The project is an Initiative of the Ministry of Social Development (MoSD) and United Nations Development Programme/Programme of Assistance to the Palestinian People (UNDP/PAPP) Funded by the Government of Germany through KFW. The intervention aims to restore livelihoods and socio-economic functioning for and within communities most affected by the recent political and security situation in Hebron and Bethlehem Governorates. Through support to income-generating activities and enabling local recovery models, the intervention will help vulnerable families regain economic security while reinforcing the role of national institutions in coordinating resilient and inclusive recovery efforts. QADER is implementing the project in the southern West Bank and focusing on youth, women and persons with disabilities.
ABOUT THE POSITION
The Field Coordinator will support the implementation of field activities under the supervision of the Field Team Leader as per the detailed implementation plan (DIP). The role involves assessing small businesses run by women, youth, and persons with disabilities, preparing reports and technical requirements for support, and providing advice and coaching to beneficiaries in cooperation with the business coach. The Field Coordinator will also coordinate with partners and stakeholders, ensure compliance with QADER’s procedures, and contribute to monitoring, reporting, and safeguarding to achieve the project’s objectives.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Field Coordination & Outreach
Coordinate with partners, community stakeholders, and institutions to ensure smooth implementation of project activities and effective outreach to target beneficiaries.
Maintain strong communication with beneficiaries and stakeholders to foster positive relationships.
Business Assessments & Beneficiary Support
Conduct assessments of small businesses, identify challenges, gaps, and recommended priorities for support, and prepare comprehensive assessment reports using the approved templates.
Preparing the schedule of requirements and technical specifications for goods and equipment to be supplied.
Provide advice and coaching to project beneficiaries in close cooperation with the business coach.
Implementation & Logistics
Work collaboratively with the project team to implement activities according to the agreed work plan and timeline.
Manage and oversee all necessary logistical arrangements to ensure the smooth implementation of field activities.
Ensure effective follow-up and problem-solving in the field, escalating issues when necessary.
Reporting, Monitoring & Compliance
Collect, verify, and document project data and activities using approved tools and templates.
Prepare regular field reports and provide timely inputs for project progress reports.
Contribute to monitoring and evaluation processes, including beneficiary tracking and lessons learned documentation.
Ensure compliance with financial, procurement, and safeguarding procedures, providing all required supporting documentation.
Other Responsibilities
Contribute to the review and adjustment of detailed work plans in line with the project results framework.
Ensure safeguarding, protection, accountability, and inclusion principles are integrated into all project activities.
Carry out other relevant tasks assigned by the supervisor to ensure project success.
متطلبات الوظيفة:QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES
Minimum BA in business administration, social sciences, or any other related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in livelihoods and economic empowerment projects. Previous experience working with youth with disabilities is a plus.
Excellent coordination and networking skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Proficiency in using MS Windows, Microsoft 365.
