Position Title: Legal Advisor for the Ministry of Justice
Duty Station: Ramallah
Recruitment Type: Local/National Expert
Duration: 6 months (24 weeks), commencing in Mid of September 2025, with a possible extension subject to budget availability and satisfactory performance.

متطلبات الوظيفة:STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Post-graduate degrees in Law and any other related development-related discipline.
Experiences:
A minimum of 10 years of experience in law and drafting legal instruments.
A minimum of 4 years of experience in legal issues concerning Justice Sector reform.
A minimum of 3 years of experience engaging with JSIs.
At least 5 years of experience in the State of Palestine.
Expert knowledge in issues related to International Human Rights Conventions and emanating States Obligations.
Excellent communication, facilitation and analytical skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Experience in developing institutional capacity, strategies and policies.
Full computer literacy.
Fluency in Arabic and English with exceptional writing, presentation and communication skills, other languages are desirable.
Specific qualifications:
Experience in drafting legal analysis papers and briefs.
Experience in preparing strategies and planning documents.
Extensive knowledge of the JS and the JSWG activities.
Have preferably experience in the work of treaty bodies and reporting mechanisms.
Experience engaging with donors and international partners on issues related to the JS.
Experience in a variety of technical questions (i.e.: Judicial Backlogs, Alternative means of conflict resolution, independence of the Judiciary, legislative drafting process)
Experience in advising decision makers in public institutions.
Language:
Excellent written and spoken English and Arabic language skills.
