الوصف الوظيفي:
• Identify the psychosocial, socio-economic and administrative needs for patients
• Actively promote the availability of counselling services and carry out, individual or in group counseling, basic psycho educational sessions, to patients, their families (when needed), in order to alleviate their psychosocial difficulties within the project scope.
• Refer patients to other specialists or other institutions for further assistance, when necessary in order to propose the best support available.
• Participate in the creation of any material needed for counseling activities and look after it,
• Keep files and statistics of daily activities and participate in team meetings to share experiences and discuss special cases with other counselors, preserving confidentiality
• Inform line manager of any problem of any kind arising during the day-to-day activities.
• Take active part in trainings, supervisions/intervisions and support the activities manager when necessary in doing sensitization for MSF staff or external partners about mental health /psychosocial issues.
• Discuss difficulties and problems in counselling with supervisor.
• To provide psychoeducation to the targeted population in order to sensitize them over specific MH topics, to reinforce participants strengths, resources and positive coping skills, to promote MH services and to identify cases.
• To provide individual/family counselling sessions to assess and follow-up with patients in different communities including the mobile clinics. In order to identify mental health symptoms and functionality affected, to prevent the development of MH disorders, to encourage positive coping mechanisms and to refer to the psychologist if it is needed.
• To provide counselling groups to identify main preoccupations, concerns and life challenges of group members, to encourage open discussion over a theme and to encourage a helping process/mutual support within the group.
• To refer patients with social needs to the social worker.
• To provide Psychological First Aid in case of emergencies and if needed.
• To be committed in filling data and reporting all the daily activities conducted.

متطلبات الوظيفة:
Education:
Counseling, social work, psychology or other similar degree/diploma.
Experience:
1 year experience essential in counselling. Experience with NGO desirable
Languages:
Arabic and English essential.
