Database Administrator

Field: Information Technology 
Contract Type: Full Time - Permanent
Location: Palestine - Ramallah

Role Summary:

Provide technical system support to all RDBMS including Oracle ,MS SQL, MySql Databases and other related sub-systems, and coordinate changes to computer databases, test and implement the database applying knowledge of database management systems.  May plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard computer databases.
Duties & Responsibilities:

-    Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position, experience in the GSM industry is a plus.
-    Bachelor degree in MIS, Finance, business or any related field.
-    Able to understand and translate new technologies and apply to marketing.
-    Practical experience in statistical tools and techniques (Cluster Analysis, Decision Tree SPSS, SAS..)
-    Good Project Management skills
-    Possessing general financial knowledge in the areas of revenue and cost-to-completion projections.
-    Advance skills in MS office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
-    Proficiency in Arabic and English (oral and written).

Work Experience & Qualifications::

Education: 

-    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
-    Oracle 10g min certified
-    SQL certified and any other DBA certification

      

Experience: 

-    2-3 Year Experience in IT field and RDBMS environment
-    Excellent experience of Information Systems
-    Excellent knowledge of Oracle RDBMS administration
-    Good knowledge of Telecom applications
-    Good knowledge of Oracle WebLogic.
-    Good knowledge of Oracle ERP.
-    Experience with data archiving and DWH operations.
-    Experience with RDBMS high availability and clustering.
-    Experience with Oracle RAC and data guard.

-    The ability to manage and to plan all databases systems based on Network node managers and using centralized management console, also the comprehension of data structure of Telecom applications.
