Al  Hoash is a non- profit Palestinian visual arts organization established in 2004 and located on the first floor of an old 1930’s traditional Arabic house on Zahra Street, a busy road in the heart of the commercial centre of Jerusalem.  
“To provide and sustain a knowledge based platform for Palestinians to express, explore, realize and strengthen their national and cultural identity through visual culture. “  Is Al-Hoash mission whereby visual arts are perceived as an integral aspect of the welfare and the wellbeing of Palestinians. It is perceived as an inspiring and critical tool for communication, innovation and free expression. 

Al Hoash is seeking to recruit an Executive Director, responsible for overseeing programming, board relations, development and grant writing, public relations, and institutional planning starting 1st of January 2017.


The Executive Director’s responsibility includes:

-Lead and oversee implementation of Al-Hoash Strategic Plan, 
-Creatively manage Al-Hoash programs and resources 
-Manage and regularly review annual budget 
-Prepare and present relevant reports,
-Represent Al-Hoash inside and outside the country.
-Mobilize resources and 
-Support and engage Al-Hoash board of directors 

Qualifications:

-3-5 years management experience of a non-governmental organization and/ or academic degree in arts and / or literature.  
-Strong knowledge of the cultural scene and local context.
-Excellent communication, speaking and writing skills in English and Arabic.
-Experience in working with a team, under pressure and challenging environment.
