This is a Daily Worker (DW) position. The working hours are Sunday to Thursday, from 08:00 to 16:00.
PREMIERE-URGENCE INTERNATIONAL (PUI) is an international, apolitical, non-religious, and non-profit French organization intervening in 23 countries worldwide. PUI aims to provide a global response to the fundamental needs to people affected by humanitarian crises, from the emergency to the restoration of their autonomy and dignity. Première-Urgence and Aide Médicale Internationale merged in 2011 to offer a better range of lifesaving care and life-changing assistance to communities affected by extreme adversity.

PUI's humanitarian and development aid strategy in oPt focuses on providing support to populations affected by the coercive environment and subsequent IHL/HR violations in both the West Bank (WB) and the Gaza Strip (GS). PUI's programming incorporates interventions in several sectors, aiming at the prevention of livelihoods' loss and displacement as a consequence of protection threats, lack of services (health, education, WASH), and lack of access to agricultural lands or job opportunities.

Supervision:
Under the direct supervision of: Security Coordinator
In functional coordination with: Security Officers, Field Coordinators, Logistics and Programme departments
Overall Objectives:
The Tracking Assistant DW supports PUI Palestine’s security management system by providing day-to-day movement tracking, monitoring, and information management for staff and operations in Gaza and the West Bank.

The Tracking Assistant DW ensures timely communication, accurate logging, and real-time situational awareness to support staff safety, access, operational continuity, and informed security decision-making, in line with PUI Security Management procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
1. STAFF MOVEMENT OVERSIGHT AND SUPPORT
Apply PUI movement management and journey-tracking procedures to all approved staff and vehicle movements in Gaza and the West Bank;
Track staff and vehicle movements in real time using GPS platforms, satellite devices, and established communication channels;
Maintain continuous communication with drivers and travelling staff to confirm movement progress;
Flag anomalies, delays, or access issues to the Security Coordinator and relevant Security Officers;
Issue guidance to field teams on incidents and developments affecting their activities, in coordination with Security Officers, Field Coordinators and the Security Coordinator;
Escalate loss of communication and incidents in line with SOPs;
Maintain accurate daily movement logs.
2. DATA MANAGEMENT AND INFORMATION LOGGING
Maintain security-related movement and incident databases;
Log security incidents, near misses, and access constraints;
Communicate ongoing incidents or restrictions immediately to security management;
Support consolidation of daily and weekly monitoring summaries.
3. CRISIS AND INCIDENT MANAGEMENT SUPPORT
Support real-time information flow during incidents under Security Coordinator direction;
Maintain accurate incident and movement timelines;
Assist accountability processes including headcounts;
Contribute to post-incident documentation and lessons learnt.
4. ADMINISTRATIVE AND OPERATIONAL SUPPORT
Maintain staff, driver and stakeholder contact lists;
Support accountability of tracking and communication equipment;
Maintain movement plans and tracking records;
Participate in security briefings and coordination meetings.
The tasks and responsibilities defined are not exhaustive and may evolve according to operational needs.

MAIN PRIORITIES:
Ensure effective real-time tracking of movements in Gaza and the West Bank;
Establish reliable reporting routines with Security Officers;
Ensure compliance with movement and communication procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education: University degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
Experience: 1–2 years in operations, security, or coordination roles.
Languages: Fluent Arabic and English.
Skills: Strong organisation, attention to detail, calm under pressure, good IT skills.
TRANSVERSAL SKILLS
Discretion and confidentiality; ability to work under pressure; reliability; teamwork; adaptability.
