Smart University College for Modern Education (SUME) is pleased to invite applications from highly qualified and motivated PhD holders to join its academic staff for the First Semester of the 2026/2027 Academic Year.

We are seeking outstanding candidates who are passionate about teaching, research, and innovation, and capable of contributing to a dynamic and forward-looking academic environment.

Role Overview

The successful candidates will play a key role in delivering high-quality education and advancing the academic mission of the college through:

Teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in areas such as:Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning
Cybersecurity & Network Security
Software Development & Modern Programming
Computer Systems & Engineering
Supervising:Graduation projects
students’ graduation projects
Developing course materials and utilizing modern teaching tools and e-learning platforms (e.g., Moodle)
Research & Innovation

Candidates are expected to:
Conduct high-quality research in their field of specialization
Publish in peer-reviewed journals and reputable conferences
Apply for research grants and funding opportunities
Collaborate with academic and industry partners
Curriculum Development

Design and continuously update academic programs to match industry trends
Integrate emerging technologies such as AI, cloud computing, and cybersecurity
Ensure alignment with accreditation and quality assurance standards
Academic Service

Participate in departmental meetings and academic committees
Provide student mentoring and academic advising
Contribute to institutional and community engagement activities
Support academic quality assurance and continuous improvement processes
Required Qualifications

PhD degree in one of the listed fields or a closely related discipline
Demonstrated academic or professional experience
Strong ability to teach and engage students effectively
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to work in a dynamic academic environment
Technical Skills

Strong programming skills (e.g., Python, Java, C++)
Knowledge of AI frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch)
Solid understanding of cybersecurity concepts and tools
Familiarity with software development methodologies
Additional Requirements for Programming Applicants

Strong expertise in Full Stack Development (Python)
Experience with:Django / Flask
React
APIs
Cloud-based applications
Preferred Qualifications

Prior teaching experience at the university level
Industry experience in relevant fields
Experience with online teaching platforms
Professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, AWS, etc.)
Contract Type

Full-time or Part-time
Semester-based or annual contracts depending on institutional needs
