الوصف الوظيفي:Médecins du Monde (MdM) France is an international medical organization, which has been present in the Palestinian territory since 1995. It operates in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank (WB) through offices located in Jerusalem, Bir Zeit, and Nablus.
MdM is currently looking for a qualified candidate to fill the position of SRHR Medwife based in Nablus.

Site of Responsibility: Nablus- Palestine. With travels to the field in the North WB

MAIN OBJECTIVE
The midwife contributes to MdM’s mission by providing high-quality sexual and reproductive health and Rights (SRHR) services through medical clinic in Nablus. The role supports the improvement of maternal and neonatal health and ensures safe, respectful, and effective care for women and their newborns in accordance with national and international medical protocols. The position plays a key role in promoting access to essential SRHR services, health education, and patient referrals within vulnerable communities.
Specific objectives:
Provide quality maternal and neonatal care including preconception care, antenatal, postnatal, family planning consultations, and nutrition management.
Ensure the correct application of SRHR-related clinical protocols and guidelines.
Facilitate awareness-raising and educational sessions for patients and community stakeholders.
Monitor and report on clinical activities, patient data, and medical stock usage.
Collaborate with MdM teams and partners to strengthen referral systems and SRHR service delivery.
Tasks and responsibilities
Main responsibilities and activities of MdM SRHR Midwife can imply modification according to the context, the organization of the work, and the composition of the team.
Programming, Clinical Responsibilities
Provide SRHR consultations including preconception, antenatal, and postnatal care, family planning, post-abortion care, breastfeeding and nutritional support for mothers and children.
Monitor and refer to pregnancy complications and coordinate referrals with relevant health facilities.
Administer neonatal care, including vaccinations and newborn health monitoring.
Conduct nutritional assessment and provide nutrition management for pregnant and lactating women (PLW) and children under 5 using standard tools (e.g., MUAC, weight-for-height).
Contribute to the management of violence-related cases and referrals including Gender-Based-Violence GBV.
Support nursing services delivery (when needed) to ensure continuity of care during staff shortages and emergency settings.
Manage pharmacy and medical supplies for midwifery station and mobile clinic activities.
Facilitate and participate in health promotion sessions and awareness campaigns.
Maintain accurate patient records, support data collection and reporting, and ensure confidentiality.
Participate in regular internal and external training, team meetings, and partner coordination.
Contribute to the proper disposal of medical waste in compliance with MdM standards.
Support MdM in representing the organization in meetings with partners and local authorities when needed.
Remain flexible to support medical emergency response activities as needed.
Representation:
Participate in MDM France’s internal meetings, training, and individual meetings.
Actively participate in internal coordination mechanisms in addition to reporting and attendance of different meetings.
Participate in working meetings and coordination meetings with partner structures, upon request from your line manager.
Share minutes of attended meeting within one week following the meeting.
Effective communication and coordination with the line manager and the project team.
Data collection and reporting
Contribute to the preparation of regular project reports and documentation, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and recommendations related to the provision of services and following-up project activities.
Provide monthly reports on your activities to your line manager, not later than the 5th of the following month, with quantitative data, as well as qualitative analysis.
Report the progress and the development of activities, achievements, challenges, and eventual gaps to the Line Manager.
Security
To respect and follow MdM France’s security plan and internal regulations.
To inform immediately the security focal point in case of any security incident or problem.
If necessary, participate in emergency/Contingency plans with the MDM team.
Others
This job description can be modified at any time to reflect changes in MDM France’s activities or in the context, to fit the requirements of the project, with prior notice and agreement between the two parties. On demand of the direct supervisor, other tasks might be added to that present list.
It can be amended at any time after mutual consultation, to fit the requirements of the programs. Midwife could be requested to perform any other duties as assigned by the line manager to support the successful implementation of the project or other projects according to the situation.
The employee shall respect Médecins du Monde France’s schedule and Terms and Conditions of Engagement for National Staff and is expected to be available anytime to answer to an emergency and be flexible and available beyond normal working hours if requested.

متطلبات الوظيفة:Requested Competence/Skills/Profile
Education:
Mandatory: Certified Midwife with a valid license to practice in Palestine, of 2 years of cumulative experience..
Experience:
Mandatory: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in primary healthcare settings.
Mandatory: Previous experience with I/NGOs or humanitarian medical actors.
Desirable: Experience in mobile clinics or community-based health programs during emergency situations.
Languages:
Strong command of English and Arabic (written and spoken), Preferred Study Language: English
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
Soft Skills:
Strong organizational and interpersonal abilities.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Proven ability to work effectively under pressure.
Willingness to travel to the project sites within the West Bank as required.
