الوصف الوظيفي:Médecins du Monde (MdM) France is an international medical organization, which has been present in the Palestinian territory since 1995. It operates in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank (WB) through offices located in Jerusalem, Bir Zeit, and Nablus.
MdM is currently looking for a qualified candidate to fill the position of SRHR Medical Doctor (SRHR MD) based in Nablus.

MAIN OBJECTIVE
The SRHR Medical Doctor will be responsible for ensuring the provision of comprehensive, maternal and reproductive health services, with a focus on safe pregnancy, childbirth, family planning and gynecological care, while improving referral pathways in the West Bank, occupied Palestinian territory.
Tasks and responsibilities
Main responsibilities and activities of MdM SRHR Medical Doctor can imply modification according to the context, the organization of the work and to the composition of the team.
Programming, Clinical Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care, including risk assessment and management of complications according to the national and international guidelines.
Offer gynecological consultations, diagnosis, and treatment for common reproductive health conditions.
Ensure access to family planning services, counseling, and provision of contraceptives.
Manage emergency obstetric and gynecological cases in coordination with referral hospitals.
Conduct screening and preventive services and consultations (for example: cervical cancer, breast cancer, STIs).
Maintain accurate medical records, patient files, and reporting in line with national and organizational standards.
Actively participate in comprehensive assessments of the current state of sexual and reproductive health and Rights, maternal and child health services for adolescents, and adults, in the targeted areas of the West Bank. This includes knowledge and experience in both quantitative and qualitative approaches.
Provide training sessions and supervision to healthcare workers for both MoH and MdM staff, through equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills to deliver quality maternal and child health services.
Educate patients about preventive care measures, healthy lifestyle choices, and disease prevention and the ability to provide awareness sessions at community level.
Actively supports/participates in developing and implementing strategies for improving access, quality standards, effectiveness, and participation based on statistical results, evaluations, surveys, and feedback from attendees.
Community Awareness & Capacity Building:
Deliver structured awareness sessions for women, adolescents, and communities on sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), family planning, and gender-based violence (GBV) prevention.
Support health education activities addressing adolescent health, menstrual hygiene, and pregnancy complications.
Strengthen community knowledge on available referral pathways and emergency signs during pregnancy and childbirth.
Collaborate with community health workers and social workers to enhance post-partum – related psychosocial disorders.
Coordination & Program Support
Participate in the coordination with Ministry of Health and local partners to align mobile health services with national protocols.
Support refreshment andcapacity-building of nurses, midwives, and mobile unit staff through on-the-job training and mentoring.
Contribute to data collection, monitoring, and reporting of SRHR indicators.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure integration of mental health, psychosocial, and protection services.
Representation:
Participate in MDM France’s internal meetings, training, and individual meetings.
Actively participate in internal coordination mechanisms in addition to reporting and attendance of different meetings.
Participate in working meetings and coordination meetings with partner structures, upon request from your line manager.
Share minutes of attended meeting within one week following the meeting.
effective communication and coordination with the line manager and the project team.
Data collection and reporting
Contribute to the preparation of regular project reports and documentation, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and recommendations related to the provision of services and following-up project activities.
Provide monthly reports on your activities to your line manager, not later than the 5th of the following month, with quantitative data, as well as qualitative analysis.
Report the progress and the development of activities, achievements, challenges, and eventual gaps to the Line Manager.
Security
To respect and follow MdM France’s security plan and internal regulations.
To inform immediately the security focal point in case of any security incident or problem.
If necessary, participate in emergency/Contingency plans with the MDM team.
Others
This job description can be modified at any time to reflect changes in MDM France’s activities or in the context, to fit the requirements of the project, with prior notice and agreement between the two parties. On demand of the direct supervisor, other tasks might be added to that present list.
It can be amended at any time after mutual consultation, to fit the requirements of the programs. Medical doctor could be requested to perform any other duties as assigned by the line manager to support the successful implementation of the project or other projects according to the situation. Medical doctor may also be requested to support the provision other medical-related duties such as performing Tests such as ANC, PNC, Family planning, Contraception methods, STI, GBV treatment and referral, basic lab. Tests (glycemia, urinalysis, pregnancy test).
The employee shall respect Médecins du Monde France’s schedule and Terms and Conditions of Engagement for National Staff and is expected to be available anytime to answer to an emergency and be flexible and available beyond normal working hours if requested.

Requested Competence/Skills/Profile
Education:
Mandatory: Medical degree (MD) from approved medical school in Obstetrics and Gynecology, with active licence to practice.
Mandatory: At least 2 years of training residency program in Gyne/Obs department
Desirable: 4 years of training residency program in Gyne/Obs department.
Experience:
Mandatory: Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in Gyne/Obs department other than the internship year
Desirable: Previous leadership experience such as Chief resident, head of department .. etc
Desirable: Previous experience in NGOs or international organizations.
Desirable: Strong understanding of the healthcare system and challenges in the West Bank context.
Languages:
Strong command of English and Arabic (written and spoken), Preferred Study Language: English
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
Soft Skills:
Strong organizational and interpersonal abilities.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Proven ability to work effectively under pressure.
Willingness to travel to the project sites within the West Bank as required.
