The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is an impartial, neutral, and independent organization whose exclusively humanitarian mission is to protect the lives and dignity of victims of war and internal violence and to provide them with assistance. It also endeavors to prevent suffering by promoting and strengthening humanitarian law and universal humanitarian principles.

The ICRC Delegation in Israel and the Occupied Territories (IL/OT), is recruiting an experienced candidate for the following position:

Driver Light Vehicles

Place of Employment : Hebron

Contract duration : 1 Year Contract (possibility of renewable)

Occupation rate : 100%

Work Schedule : 40 working hours per week

Starting Date : March 2026

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This role involves transporting people and/or goods in the West Bank. There may be occasions when you will need to work in the evenings and on weekends upon request.
Flexibility in working hours is necessary, as you may be required to work outside of the official hours as per the Palestinian Hours of Work and Rest law.
Ensure passengers and cargo safety at any time when driving ICRC vehicles by obeying security rules, traffic regulations, as well as cautions driving.
Makes sure that vehicle is parked in safe area all the time.
Is aware and respects ICRC internal security rules all times.
Respects the laws in general and traffic regulations in particular.
Drives only ICRC goods and personnel in ICRC vehicles unless instructed differently by superior.
Avoids using mobile phone while driving.
Assist with the refueling of ICRC vehicles when possible.
Fills in refueling data in logbook and fuel control sheets.
Collects fuel invoices with copies of logbooks and send to F&A Manager at the end of each month.
When applicable, is present at the loading and unloading of goods and confirms that the quantity corresponds with relevant documentation.
On each handover and once a week checks vehicle equipment and body condition assigned for checking through checking lists and report to JER Fleet.
Is able to change tyre, filters or bulb on the road.
Organizes vehicles washing & cleaning and makes sure enough washing station coupons are available at all times.
متطلبات الوظيفة:
Secondary school level
Valid Driving License, Manual Stick Shift.
Heavy Vehicle driving license is an asset.
5 years' work experience in a similar function
Good knowledge of spoken English & Arabic. Hebrew is an asset
Driving license for at least 10 years
Flexibility in working hours
Good knowledge of the area of assignment.
Masters 4/4 driving and VHF use
Basic mechanical skills
Basic computer skills
