Field-Based Coordinator

Location: based in Tulkarem or Jenin

Global Communities is seeking a Field–based Coordinator for the Social and Behavior Change Communication (SBCC) of the Food Security Program (FSP) in the West Bank. The project aims to prevent malnutrition among pregnant and lactating women by implementing scheduled SBCC activities including orientation, nutrition awareness, cooking sessions and psychosocial support in Jenin and Tulkarem. Using mobile teams and community based venues the project aims to reach 1000 women every six months with interactive , practical, and cultural sensitive sessions.

Key responsibilities: include responsible for overall field-level program management, coordination with the WFP team, and supervision of the implementation teams, including trainers and community mobilizers. Specific responsibilities include the following:

Logistics and Scheduling of the trainings.
Field Staff Supervision and Support
Serve as the main point of contact between the office and field staff, facilitating clear communication and acting as a liaison with stakeholders like partners, donor.
Monitor project progress, ensure work quality, collect data, and generate required reports
Ensure that field activities adhere to the organization policies, safety regulations, and other relevant standards.
Provide light facilitation support during SBCC sessions when needed, including assisting trainers and mobilizers with participant coordination, registration, simple demonstrations, and reinforcing key messages.
Conduct frequent travel across multiple implementation sites in Jenin and Tulkarem as part of daily field activities and monitoring responsibilities.

Required qualifications and skills

A bachelor’s degree in business administration, social sciences, development studies, or a related field, with Five Years of relevant experience.
Proficiency with computer applications like word processing and spreadsheets is necessary.
Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills are essential. The ability to work independently, manage conflicting priorities, and build relationships within communities is also important.
