The “Risk Management office” supports all projects of the German state development cooperation (GIZ, KfW, PTB) and fulfils tasks to support the delivery capability and the best possible guarantee of personal security of its clientele. The RMO provide services in three main fields of action: (1) Security & Safety Analysis and Advisory, (2) Operational Movement Support, and (3) crisis prevention and management.
In order to achieve our mission, we are looking for a full-time (100%) position
“Security Analyst”
Tasks and Functions include but are not limited to:
Security I Safety Analysis
Responsible for the monitoring of Domestic and Regional Political and Security Situation / Dynamics, especially in West Bank and East Jerusalem, Gaza Strip and Israel
Responsible for drafting or updating periodic or on request, of Security Advisories, Analysis and Forecast related documents
Contributing in preparing supporting material for Security Briefings (ex.: on-boarding, Thematic, etc.) and when needed be able to conduct briefings
Managing Security Analysis related to Knowledge Management processes
Security Risk Management Support
Contribute in desk studies for GIZ Programs and Projects under the BMZ request to conduct a background check / Security Assessment of potential cooperating partners
Contribute in development of high-quality and standardized Security Risk Management policies, operational procedures and best practices for GIZ I KfW I PTB, or necessary partners
Contribute to Crisis Management by providing support in Crisis Plans developments, and in time of emergency, collecting and processing necessary I required information
Support Security Yearly Analysis Review for Project Annual reporting process
General Tasks
When appropriate and reasonable, contribute to all required and necessary SRM related tasks in support of other RMO components.
متطلبات الوظيفة:Required qualifications, competences and experience are considered an asset:
University Degree (or equivalent) in Political Science and / or International Studies, or equivalent field
1 to 3 years professional experience in International Political and I or Security Analyst or Researcher in an International Organization, University or Think Tank or comparable position
Maintaining networks with various actors to verify information and assessments
Collecting and processing information for status reports and analyses in the event of crisis
Providing support in drawing up crisis plans
Analyzing security-related factors so as to provide forecasts on the security situation
Generating indicators to give early warning of a deterioration in the security situation
Fluent in English and Arabic. Ideally a knowledge of Hebrew
Excellent writing skills, ability to analyze and summarize and inform on complex dynamics
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Office application (e.g. word, excel, Power-Point)
Knowledge in Open-Source Information Investigation I Collection
Ability to work under stressful conditions, self-initiator, flexible and able to work with people of different backgrounds, service oriented, friendly personality, well organized and motivated.
Willing to upskill as required by the tasks to be performed.
