This is what the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) is all about. As a federally owned enterprise, we support the German Government in achieving its objectives in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development. We are also engaged in international education work around the globe.

The Program ‘Sustainable Management of Water Resources’, aims at improving the state´s governance capacity for the sustainable management of non-conventional water resources in the Palestinian territories. With this project the German technical cooperation (GTC) is reinitiating its cooperation in the water sector in Palestine after many years and will cooperate closely with the Palestinian Water Authority. The thematic focus will be on the reuse of wastewater and other non-conventional water resources, and the nexus between water, energy, and agriculture.

To support the GIZ office in Ramallah, we are looking for a full time (100%):

“Knowledge Management Advisor”

Tasks and Functions include but are not limited to:

Leads and coordinates all knowledge management and knowledge sharing within the program.
Develop, implement and coordinates a knowledge management strategy aligned with the program goals.
Prepares reports among others to the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) in German language.
Sets up and coordinates impact-oriented, gender- and conflict-sensitive monitoring, also in German language.
Technical and operational management, set up and follow up of local and international grants, cooperation agreements and service and consultancy contracts.
Maintain regular communication with GIZ Headquarters on program related matters and ensure alignment with organizational standards.
Participates in and supports project implementation activities in close collaboration with partners.
Conceptualises, plans and implements workshops and events of the programme in coordination with the Head of program.
Supports the general operational project management in coordination with the head of programme.
متطلبات الوظيفة:
Required qualifications, competences and experience are considered an asset:

BA degree (or equivalent) in business administration or similar
Longstanding work experience (over 10 years) in development cooperation.
Proven experience of knowledge management.
Solid understanding of the technical, financial, and administrative procedures of international organizations.
Excellent oral and written domination of German, English, Arabic Language
Strong team player and cooperation skills
Strong interpersonal, dialogic skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Open-mindedness to new tasks and topics
