The EJ-YMCA is a local Christian non-profit association whose mission is to strengthen and build individuals and communities by establishing programs to develop a true human being in terms of spirit, mind, and body. Its work is based on Christian principles and the values of respect, honesty, dignity, justice, responsibility, and attention. The YMCA integrates everyone regardless of their age, income, abilities, race, religion, or gender. The YMCA is working hard to identify and assess the needs of Palestinian society as it seeks to develop programs that respond to the aspirations of young people and their families.

One of the programs operating under the umbrella of EJ-YMCA is the Rehabilitation Program, which seeks to integrate persons with disability and traumatized as a result of political violence through the adoption of the holistic approach in rendering rehabilitative services at the psychosocial and vocational levels, and enhancing their capacities to ask for their rights employing specialized and professional teams that cover the whole areas of the West Bank and East Jerusalem, in coordination and partnership with all elements of the Palestinian society in the aim of creating an acceptable and supportive environment that enables them to practice their rights as citizens living in a free and democratic country characterized by social justice and indiscrimination.

The East-Jerusalem YMCA’s Rehabilitation Program is seeking to hire a “Projects Coordinator” in its main office in Beit-Sahour.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and oversee all project management functions including coordination with the human resources unit, accounting department, and any other logistics support.
Coordinates and oversees activities related to advocacy.
Provide effective logistic, financial, and management support to the project.
Develop action plans and supervise and coordinate the timely and efficient implementation of all project activities.
Prepare and submit project proposal and budget.
Manage budgets and ensure efficiency and accountability.
Coordinate the financial-related issues in full coordination with the accounting department.
Ensure proper, professional, documented, and clear communication with the project staff regarding all aspects of the project activities.
Contributes in supporting MEAL process and deliver regular narrative and progress reports.
Oversee the teams’ provision of services to children and families affected by detention.
Organize and conduct workshops and meetings with stakeholders and attend Steering Committee meetings.
Communicate with the relevant donor personnel with respect to the practical implementation and technical demands.
Communicate with field supervisors to ensure proper implementation of the different activities.
متطلبات الوظيفة:
Qualifications

Minimum bachelor’s degree in business administration or management (Masters Degree and PMP certification are an asset).
Minimum 3 years’ experience in project coordination and/or project management.
Proven experience in working with NGOs.
Arabic mother tongue. Fluency in verbal and written English is essential.
Excellent writing skills.
High organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
Capable of working independently and with demonstrated experience engaging a wide range of stakeholders.
Proficiency in the use of computer programs for Microsoft Office suite especially Excel.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge in MEAL
Accurate and detailed–oriented personality.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work under pressure and extra working hours when needed.
Readiness to conduct field visits and attend workshops and meetings related to the project all over the districts of the West Bank.
