Overview:

National Democratic Institute - NDI is a non-profit, non-partisan, non-governmental organization that works in partnership around the world to strengthen and safeguard democratic institutions, processes, norms and values to secure a better quality of life for all. NDI envisions a world where democracy and freedom prevail, with dignity for all.

NDI has been present in the Palestinian Territories since 1994, working with Palestinian political parties, civil society organizations, activists, universities, and youth on a variety of issues including advocacy campaigns, message development, political outreach, and the inclusion of women and youth in the political process and decision-making.

NDI West Bank & Gaza is seeking a full-time Financial Officer to provide assistance to the program under the close supervision of the Financial Manager. This position will be based in Ramallah.

Responsibilities:

Ensure all financial, accounting, and reporting activities comply with policies, under the supervisor of the financial Manager.
Providing support internal and external audits Manage and maintain financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems
The financial officer and regional coordinators, as well NDI staff, will work in close cooperation when dealing with financial matters
Assist with the integration of field office accounting systems into HQ accounting.
Keep accurate records for all daily transactions.
Prepare balance sheets and process Invoices.
Update internal systems with financial data.
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
Reconcile bank statements.
Track bank deposits and payments.

متطلبات الوظيفة:
Qualifications/Person Specification:

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or other related degree.
3-5 years office experience in finance role.
Experience creating financial statements and reports.
Understanding of budgeting, cash flow, and financial risk management.
Knowledge of fiscal regulations and compliance, particularly for international donors (including USAID).
Comfortable learning and working with new software/databases.
Willingness to learn and open to new ideas.
Expert with Microsoft Excel, financial reporting software.
Fluency in Arabic and English (an understanding of Hebrew a plus).
Ability to freely travel within the West Bank
